I have a 72 240z with a L28 and 280z distributor. All was working in the ignition department and she was driving. Took her out for a drive and then she sat a few days and not there is no spark. Now when I have the key on the ballast resistor and ignition coil are getting hot. Ant suggestions?
I do have a question about one wire that is not being used and it looks like it may go to the where the distributor mounts. Should it be hooked up?

I want to run the PerTronix Flame-Thrower II so I can remove the ballast resistor.
I have kicked the idea around buying a totaled Chevy Spark EV and swapping its components in the Z. The Spark has an astonishing 400 lb-ft of torque. You could probaly grab a Spark for IAA for$2-$3k

I am wondering if could mate the L28 to a Subaru 5spd tran, drive shaft, dif, axles. I cut the and weld to the datsun hubs?
Off topic question...can you see if the seats from the mazda3 would fit. I loved my Mazdaspeed3 seats and always wondered if they or the mazda3 seats fit.
