Soooo, what have I done today... I failed at tuning the carbs, found I have a blown head gasket and the rust on the floor is worse than I initially thought, and that the radiator is leaking. Face palm.... At least I put a bandaid on the rust on the roof to keep it from getting worse until I get a sander an a crapload of primer. Gotta figure out what I wanna do with the motor, at this point it's easier for me to get a good long block and swap everything over than doing the head . Well see if I can find one for a good price. Today's been a pretty good downer, oh well I get payed this week so I'll figure out what I wanna do then.

So I attempted to get the carbs tuned enough to get the car over to the shop an get ten properly done, in the process I found out that my poor 260 has a blown head gasket Right in the back left corner That being a big issue in my poor running motor I gave up and started attacking the paint. Sanding by hand sucks btw

Got some stuff on the s30 today, replaced my jammed lock cylinder with another one, no pictures of that, just the tamper screws were a butt to get out. I then decided to paint the 240z tail panels. From this. To this I also got the car registered today finally $489!!! Fuuuuu back fees Here's what the plate got down to, there's one more underneath, so 84 And by the time I was all done messing around it looked like this outside so I called it a day

Epic progress today! Got a battery an some gas, had to redo the firing order cuz it was all effed up from the previous owner, and.... Got it running!!!! Take it to work an align it cuz that's effed up to. But progress!!!!

So in all the S30 excitement recently I forgot to post an update for daily. I picked up an AEM truboost boost controller, I'm now happily running 10psi! Fun times. Turbo spools soo much quicker now, haven't really got to deep into the features but I'm happy for now.

10w-30 it is. I know everyone has their preferences but for te time being to get the car running I'll stick to what's factory

So I should be safe running some 10-30 for the time being? Or what would be "standard"?

I just got my su carbs on my 260 today and wanna know what kind of oil I need to put into them and how much, one of them is low on oil and needs to be topped off. I know it's noob question but carbs are alien technology to me lol. Regards.

So I got some stuff done today I got the 240z su's on And the filter box, need some really long studs for the cover Then I had lunch And then I swapped out to the 240z turn signals and grill, gotta cut out the horn brackets because the center valance doesn't fit. Now I need a battery and gas and I should be ready to test fire the motor.

I just swapped dash harnesses. Done. I have one for sale by the way, for an 82.

Dramatic difference? No. Just pop the bumper struts and weld it compressed. Then enjoy crashing into things without the 5mph cushion.

Leaving the L28 in running carbs for now, might switch to injection later, slammage, I've been looking at T3 coilovers since they're bolt in. And I gotta fit my 15x10's on it lol. Get a lip and a wing, some paint. Honestly Ionno how crazy I'm gonna go with the motor I just wanna get it drivable right now.

So I've finally got my hands on an S30 chassis. I'm now part of the cool kids club! Lol. Just picked it up tonight. Here's what I have. '74 260z with an L28 and a 5 speed. Aside from a crapload of extra parts it's reletivly stock. Currently doesn't run but just needs some carb work. Here's a picture. This is going to take over the s130 build for the time being, at least until I get it running an junk. Look out for more pics and updates.
