Aluminum Hubs, 5 Lug, Big Brakes. New Setup
ladams17 replied to wfritts911's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
If anyone is looking to replicate this setup I purchased all the parts brand new and never did anything with it. Make me an offer!! let me know if you are interested. Located in Michigan... willing to ship. Send me your best offer, all brand new still in box. The only thing I don’t have from the list is the wheel bearings, seals, braided line and an adaptor. I’ll post pics tomorrow. -
If you need someone to CNC machine the parts I am sure we could work something out. Let me know.

Would you be interested in the possiblity of me making you a set? I own a machine shop and I could possibly help you out. Send me an email to levi@lcglobalcontracting.com when you get a chance and we can discuss your exact needs.

Aluminum Hubs, 5 Lug, Big Brakes. New Setup
ladams17 replied to wfritts911's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
If anyone is still interested in running this setup but haven't been able to get ahold of wfritts911 for the brackets I am entertaining the thought of starting to make a bunch of these brackets to sell and would love to hear from you guys if you'd be interested. PM or reply and let me hear your thoughts. -
I have one of Will's kits and was going to sell it a while back. Ended up keeping it and I'm glad I did because it is a great kit. I run a small company that already allows for me to be full time in the shop and I have tossed around with my fabricator the idea of producing more of these kits, exactly like Will's to allow for guys to swap the 8.8 into the S30. I realize there are more options now for guys then when I bought my from Will. I am just testing the waters here but "if" I could produce the exact same kit for around the same price as Will's (1500) in a reasonable timeframe would anyone be interested in purchasing them? PM me or reply on this thread with your thoughts...

From reading your thread it looks like you are heading down a little different direction with the design of your swap, if you are investing the capital into the engineering and manufacturing of this kit I give you my full tip of the hat, if you just wish you could get your hands on a kit like Will's I'd love to hear from you or anyone. ladams17 replied to Stock Car Mafia's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
I admire your documentation. I enjoy reading through this build thread. You have been blessed with such a solid car to start with. -

Do you sharing where you bought your patch panels from? Rockers and etc.. Quality? Fitment? -
I appreciate the input because I'd really love to save the time and not have to do a bunch of body work on the original ones and deal with rust.

Has anyone had good luck with fiberglass fenders on a 280Z? I have a line on a set of perfect condition fiberglass fenders for super cheap but was curious if anyone has been running them for a long-term and have any feedback? Or installation, fitment feedback? I'd appreciate it.

where did you buy your fenders from?

Hey Guys, I wanted to get some input on this topic before I dive into the project, and try to limit the mistakes. I've commented on this thread below about adapting to TTT Camber Tops/ Plates but no one has replied. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/98897-step-by-step-coilover-conversion/ Current Status: I've purchased everything in this conversion minus some of the parts that I feel like came with the TTT camber tops. I talked with Gabe and he sent me the internal parts for MK2 struts and mentioned that they should work together no problem. I've also purchased weld perches from TTT because I wanted a clean weld perch below the coilovers. Questions 1.) Has anyone had experience adapting these two products together? If so share your experience. 2.) I've researched into a few threads about the correct about to section the strut tube, but don't have a 100 % feeling about cutting the strut tube 1 1/2 in. because the TTT camber plates remove ride height with adapting to them. My initial thought is to just measure the old strut top, and compare it to TTT camber tops but I figured I'd ask the crowd. 3.) Should I put oil in the strut tube? If so which oil?

Step-By-Step Coilover Conversion...
ladams17 replied to thehelix112's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension, and Chassis
Did anyone ever mount these to the TTT tops like mentioned in the previous posts? -
Joe - I appreciate your knowledge with the t56, and I actually went ahead and bought the trans on ls1tech for $1000! We have a transmission folks!! I'm glad the search is over, and it should give me even more ambition to get the engine bay finished this weekend!!

I have been working the past few nights on patches for where the rust completely ruined the battery box (which I am going to re-locate to the rear) and near the driver side hood latch, and I added some support bars from the rocker to the inner fender. I have attached some pictures, don't judge too hard. I am learning a lot on this project already. The next big hurdle to get over is front suspension, I've read so much on here I feel like at times there are so many opinions that I can make much sense of it, and most of the information I read is for 240s. I'd love to order the ground control coilover kit this weekend, not 100% on which springs to get, 250/200 or 300/250? Not sure on which shocks/struts to order either. Illumina BZ3012 here (http://thmotorsports.com/tokico/tokico_shocks_illumina_series/bz3012/i-526852.aspx) are for a 280Z but if I section the struts in the front are these going to not fit. Guess I need to continue to research. I am going to order the T3 camber plates this weekend so I can get those burned in and really have the engine bay more prepped. Any input would be appreciated. Found a couple t56 trans in my area for decent prices, need to really know my stuff first before I go purchase, most of the transmissions I'm looking at are out of 95 camaros, just need to make sure that's going to work for my application with the 5.3 Decided to go with the 5 lug / wilwood front brake kit from Will's writeup. I'll probably order a few of those parts as well this weekend.
