  1. Reading this blog in google translate has both enlightened me and confused me as to how Uncle Ryo overcame the oil and coolant issues of the RB head on the L series block. As well, what bellhousing would he have used to get the transmission to line up with the engine angle? A KA bellhousing? So much awesome work here to read about and it's a shame I don't know a lick of Japanese to understand it. I least I know that to aim the 400PS he thinks he also likes the little yakubusoku in super single. Anyone got any flow diagrams for the RB heads coolant and L series oil flow?
  2. My main question would be the weight of this vs a standard rb
  3. You'll probably wind up having the same problems with sailing hardware as you did with other hardware, sailing hardware is a lot stronger than regular hardware, but its designed to hold tension, not shock. Wires and fittings from the lighter dinghies like to stay at a constant tension. You may be able to get away with it with a strong fastener set up and a protective tube to avoid fraying in the wires
  4. Are you planning on printing all the molds or going to more traditional methods once you have the design down?
  5. I don't understand any of this^ Hope this goes well, i really want to see this thing running
  6. too bad about the timing gear then. Just seems it would be a lot simpler to do this with the stock ones
  7. I'm assuming that means that a custom gear could not have been machined or found? just seems replacing one gear would be simpler than redoing the timing system
  8. Alright, just wondering because looking at K-series design, most of the cam relies on VTEC for lubrication etc. of course I assume this wouldn't apply considering you're using two exhaust cams. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtRlQrAc5IY What was your problem with the honda cam gears?
  9. What features have you stripped out of the K20 in terms of Honda specialties? Have oil passages for things such as VTEC solenoid been completely removed? or are you simply blocking those off with a plate on the block?
  10. Now that is some cool stuff. Loving the simplicity of using the pre made cam towers off the k20. Finding the cheap part hard to believe though
