  1. I don't think you know what you are getting yourself into. I read through these forums for more than a year in regards to doing the turbo swap. I am still to this day learning new things about the swap and I've already got my motor built and ready to go. You can not rush this, or you will be going back and doing things over.

    Here is some help though.

The turbo internals have dished pistons. Thats about the only difference in the bottom end. The turbo head has a larger combustion chamber to lower the compression with aid from the dished pistons. The camshaft has a different grind with less overlap. It also has square ports on the exhaust.

Take a lot of peoples advice when it comes to searching......it's your only life line.

  2. attachment.php?attachmentid=15560&d=1248230101Hey station wagon guy how much for those wheels?

    Worst pic ever, I know.

My digi cam was stolen so this is a scan of a pic thats been hanging on the garage wall for a few years.

BleachZee I think you car is F-ing Sick Man! I agree with slownrusty some fog lights in the cut outs would complete it. BTW What Suspension do you have? I Love how tucked your tires are! Your car looks lower than mine lol

Dude i love the front air dam!!!

i just got mine {same one from the looks of it} and am having it put on right now..nice S130, is it turbo?

Just curious, where did you guys get your air dam from? I have the same one, but I thought they were kinda hard to get your hands on? Also, how much did you spend on it?

    Thanks,

  3. Since your not too far from me, can I drop my ZX off with you so you can do this to mine:biggrin:? Doing two at once doesn't take that much longer! Keep us posted!

Edit: What are you going to do about the tail lights? The reason I ask is because they stick out and it kinda looks funky with the shaved rear IMHO.

  4. I just picked out my turbo! It is a Slow Boy Racing turbo (great people there slowboyracing.com) and they modeled it after the Garrett GT30. It has T3 with a stage 3 wheel with journal bearings. My friend is running one on his KA and loves it. And they are selling it to me for $675.00 shipped! Good luck picking a turbo!

  5. It's a $500 turbo that is said to be computer balanced. I really have been wanting a ball bearing turbo, but one in my price range has been very difficult to find. I might end up going for a Turbonetics 60 series turbo. They run about $750 so I think the extra $250 will be much worth it although it is not a ball bearing turbo.

  6. I am too shopping for a turbo. If your budget allows it, go with the Garrett GT35R with a .63 a/r hot side. What I have come to pick out is a knock off ball bearing GT35 from CXRacing. I would stay away from diesel turbo's (although plenty of people run them) because diesel engines burn way cooler than petrol. Those diesel turbo's have a faster failure rate when applied to a petrol engine. Good luck on the hunt! Also what setup are you going with? This could play a large part in your decision.

  7. I'm glad I found this thread, I have been planning on moving out to Sacramento. I am doing a turbo swap in my S130 and wondered if I will need to do anything to my emissions even though I will be keeping South Carolina tags. I will only be in CA for a little under 2 years.
