  1. Phill, I rounded the inside of my WG port the best I could with my dremel(it wasnt much since mine is welded on and I can't get at it from the other side). I will be dropping my turbo motor in hopefully within 2-3 weeks, so I will let you know if I get any creepz. Sounds amazing by the way. That is some good footage for a phone camera, what phone do you have?

  2. After about 2 years of research, It's finally time for me to initiate Project: HCITMHLTDT? (Holly Crap It Took Me How Long To Do This?). I am swapping to a L28eT in about a week and a half and I need a base map to work off of. I recently received my MSII PCB 3.57 in the mail. Since this is my DD from work to home, I need some guidance and don't have as much time as I would like to make my own tune from scratch. (I did run through the stickies to find a map that is close to my setup, but I was unsuccessfull in the hunt.) Here is my setup:

L28ET rebuilt with stock internals. Rebuilt head with minor port work.

AZC 440cc injectors paird with Pallnet fuel rail and Aeromotive FPR

GT30 replica, T3/T04 hybrid SlowBoy Racing tubo.

    Bell Engineering Front mount intercooler

3" exhaust from turbo on back

    Greddy Type R BOV

    Turbonetics Evo wastegate

N42 intake ported to fit 60mm TB

    Stock Turbo Dizzy

    LC1 wideband

    MSII PCB 3.57

I will be running off the wastegate spring at 7psi to start with and slowly work my way up to around 16 psi. Any maps are helpfull!! Also, I am at sea level if that makes a difference to some of you high altitude guys.

    Thanks,

    Adam Silver

  3. Is the 4-bolt pattern on the hot side the same 4-bolt pattern that comes on a stock turbo? It would be interesting so then people would not have to have a new downpipe made.

I know the 4 bolt pattern is the same as a Garrett GT30/35. If I still had my stock down pipe I would check.

    Looks Great!

What are the specs on the Compressor and exhaust wheels?

It is a SBR G60 with a 60 trim compressor wheel, Stage 3 turbine, TO4S cover with a T3 turbine housing. The company will make it to your specs.

  4. After about a month of waiting for my turbo, waiting for the manufacture to restock some parts, I finally received it in the mail! This turbo is a Garrett made to my specs with a .63 A/R turbine and a .70 A/R compressor with a 4" ported shroud. It was made to replica a GT30, but with journal bearings. I paid $675 for it shipped to my door and I am very pleased. I purchased this through SlowBoyRacing.com out of Florida. The people there are great and are very helpful, ask for Joe. Here are some pics with it mocked up with an old manifold. Enjoy!

I would have taken more pics but my battery died.

P.S. That manifold is the biggest pain in the @$$ to wrap.... just to let you know.

  5. No they won't work with the drain under pressure. They must be running a small scavenger pump like STS does. This quote is from the STS web sight " The oil is then scavenged from the turbocharger via an electric oil pump which returns the oil to the engines valve cover." A simple and effective solution to low the low mounting point oiling issue.

The only reason they use the pump is because gravity cannot be used to return the oil back to the pan. Since the turbo, in this situation, still sits above the oil pan, he will not need a pump.
