  1. i just ran the compression test and all my cylinders sat at around 140psi. the last time i checked them they sere at 178psi
  2. i am having major engine problems and need a new motor if anyone knows of a place to get one in the south east?
  3. the throttle body is not the problem. i noticed oil leaking form my head so im pretty sure its a blown head gasket. the only thing i am wondering is how i blew my head gasket immediatly after changing to the n42 intake. i have all the original vacs and sensors hooked up so im pretty baffled
  4. i had a vac leak when i first put it on. i fixed that. i put my aac back on with a few mods to the tb spacer. i pulled my spark plugs that i put on at the same time as the intake and thay were all black. i cleaned them but dont think that that helped. i had the car running and unplugged 4 of the 6 plugs after i cleaned them and the car ran the same as with all them on. but when i pulled the cylinder closest to the fire wall the car stalled out. and i know i am gettting spark through the wires cuz they shocked me soo bid i bled.
  5. i tried that several times with no luck. it is running alot worse now. i took it for a test run because i hoocked up a lost vac line and it seemed like it ran a lot better but during the test it still had no power.i had a large puff of black smoke for a minute and now it hesitates to start and idles a lot lower.
  6. i have a S130 83 280zx and i upgraded to a n42 intake with a 60mm TB. now the motor shakes and idles rough. it smokes and i believe it is runnig rich. i need some advice as to what might have gone wronge. its my DD and i have not had it running for more than a week.
  7. i have a S130 and love it. i have a major issue at the moment riht now that i cant figure out. i swaped the n42 intake manifold with a 60mm tb and did not have enough vac lines for a few things. the engine runs extremely rich, so i think. it smokes. it idles rough and runs rough. and the intake gets really cold and condensates on the outside. i have been without my z for more than a week now and its really geting to me. i need help bad.
  8. i removed my AAC and it did not change a thing. i am having a problem with my n/a 83 if any on can hlp me. it was running fine and i swapped a n42 intake on it with a 240sx tb and now it idles realy rough, runs extremely rich(smokes alot) and at wide open throttle it completey does not fire and the motor dies. and also my intake manifold gets soo sold that it starts to condensate on the outside.
  9. i have seen people using 240sx tb's with the datsun style shaft and sensor box. my tb has a trigger shaped arm to move the sensor. the sensor is circular instead of box shaped. it is the stock ecu
  10. i too am haning problems with my n42, its on a non turbo and i just put it on and i had a vac leak but fixed it. i dont have an aac valve b/c i put a 240sx tb on it with the trigger style tps. it has a rough idle, no power and when wide open it stalls out. any suggestions?
