  1. I tought about that, I want to keep it fuel injected and for now Megasquirt would go too far. I don´t think I could run that setup on the Stock FI, could I? I would really want to get it running in general and then start tinkering, but if I bore now I might as well fiddle with it. What would be compatible with stock FI ?(let me guess, stock setup...)
  2. jup... thats why i check back here. Problem is, X-ray shows cylinder walls are too thin if I understood my dad right (I will know tomorrow, only got a heads up via my dad communicating with them and tomorrow I will call directly). What do people here consider "safe" wall thickness? Wouldn´t be surprised if they are used to VASTLY different values on boat engines ^^ edit: Is this correct n42 is .400 between the cylinders, and .200 on the other sides people say that up to 0.16 is okay. Guess I will first ask him what he did measure ^^
  3. Hi, bad news, x-ray says waterdamage on 3 more cylinders but testing on the lower end confirms everything is like new. Now i have to decide, move to another block (really don´t want to) or put in 3 more liners. Well, if I put liners in all 6 pots I can make a stroker in 10 years
  4. Well and then everything went terribly wrong My block got x-rayed and there is excessive water damage on 3 more cylinders.... strangely everything else is in like-new condition so i really don´t want to move to another block. I really have to find a cheap source for liners.... at least if i ever go 3.2l this block will be gold with liners in all 6 pots so I am not really sad, only afraid of the bill^^ anybody has an opinion? I know it may seem weird but sourcing another engine here and fixing that one will almost certainly be more expensive
  5. Hi, I am looking for a set of center caps like those: https://shop.wheelacc.com/american-racing-898002-center-cap-p3484.aspx only that the opening in my wheels is 72mm. Otherwise the cap looks nearly the same, only that on mine there is a vortex symbol. thanks!
  6. wasn´t there some part about getting it to work right first and THEN to try and make it better? ....nice thing with replicating a LD is that you can compare against a LD and the work is not challenging as is, but it´s the mentality that does the trick. Think Hubble Telescope and the mirror ^^ (The operator noticed the error but proceeded anyways)
  7. thanks, I would prefer one new one though, engine did just 47k
  8. Hi, I am looking for a replacement piston for my 76 280z, preferrably NOS, no oversize. Any offers welcome. greetings Richard
  9. I need a dished top piston anyways. For now I will just replace the one broken piston.
