  1. I work at Home Depot while im in school.. and my manager happens to own a 240z thats fairly modded so we talk all day..

anyway.. my boss ran into a purple 240z with a Ferrari 512 V12 powerplant off chambers and quincy road.

I've yet to see a Z with a Ferrari motor.. but OMG The guy owned a Ferrari 512.. and his wife wrecked it. He was able to salvage the motor and decided a Z was the most interesting car to put it in.

I cant write worth poop.. but holy crap.. i had to share

  2. and the oil cooler vent...

only the 280zx's came with oil coolers.. and were not mounted along side the middle of the engine

Z's benefit from "vents/louvers" to expel the high pressure build up air at high speeds and allow the heat to RISE out of the hood.

The vents in your design act as "ram air" effect and actually jam more high pressure air under the hood. Although the air is cooler it will absorb some heat... but not efficiently.

AND the "induction" vent is way out of place.. if you notice the Z's air box is located on the front of the radiator support.. or the "passengers" side of the car. The induction vent is located too far back and on the wrong side of the engine compartment.

these scoops are for function as well as looks

  3. Heres an example..

The FIA WRC rally cars have a 34mm restriction.. they produce a low number of 300whp.. but have you seen a Rally car launch and drive? 0-60 in less than 3 seconds. They are NOT limited to torque.. for example the 2001 Impreza has 471nm of torque at 4000rpm.

anyway.. im sure with an allowance of more air... they could create more power.. buutt hey a small point
