10psi on the holset would be comparable to 13psi on the stock T3.

 

that was my initial feeling... but then again im not at sea level.. so 15psi could be a close estimate

Yes I am giving up on the MS boost controller..

 

I would need a laptop to change the boost.. which means I have to pull it out, load it up.. change the values and give it a drive and watch the guage.

 

OR I twist a knob.

think about it this way.. 16psi of HOT air would be close to 12psi of COLD air.

 

This could be the problem.. the Volvo intercooler was awful at cooling and the new intercooler is SO efficient in cooling that you can run less boost and create the same power.

have you checked your fuel injectors or fuel pressure?!

 

The injectors may be clogged.. or the fuel pump may be going or a bad fuel filter.

 

a volvo intercooler is terrible for efficiency.. im shocked that your aluminum one hasnt helped.

 

It seems to me that something is wrong with the fuel system... not just the intercooler.

 

Have you monitered the air temps before or after the intercooler?!
