-
he was using megasquirt at the time =)

ehh too expensive..
nice! but too expensive
-
what tranny will you be running Bryan?!
-
Yeh I agree with Forrest.
its all in tuning.. you need to be more patient.
the lean spike on throttle tip in can be fixed with "MAP dot or TPS" tuning.
once the car warms up, it jumps out of "warm-up mode" which enrichens the fuel. Best thing to do is tune while all warmed up. Then wait for it to cool down, start up the car and adjust the "enrichments" on the warmup mode to get a nice AFR.
Decel pops are normal with lean conditions. Im using the over-run cut off, so when cruising and I stay off the throttle more than a few seconds, it cuts fuel to save on gas and allow engine braking. Right when it cuts the AFR will go to O2/20:1 and pop.

I have a 3.54 R180 in my Z.
original setup was an automatic in my 1978 280z. Pulled that out and installed a 5-speed, kept the stock rear end.
I like it. Top end is awsome, my speedo read 145mph last night when goofn on the highway

an electronic solenoid will BUZZ if the solenoid if bolted firmly to a fender or firewal.
Buzzing would also indicate an off balance turbo, yes it can be within almost NO shaft play and see be unbalanced.

Did ya read Austins thread about "oh uh I think I damaged my internals?!"
He took pics of the coating literally burned off the pistons.

Well..
MS1 with Megasquirt n Spark EXTRA has (12x12 fuel/spark maps)
http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/index.html
Does it matter?! yes if you want a rock solid AFR all the way across the powerband, the more fine tweaking the better.
EXTRA also includes :
Features12x12 fuel tables
12x12 spark tables
DualTable code
Roger Enns' injector staging code
Rev limiter
Overboost protection
Mappable Air:Fuel Ratio target for use with wideband O2
Coolant temp timing advance
Inlet temp timing retard
MAPdot accel/decel enrichment
Anti-rev / Traction Control feature
Over-run fuel cut
Afterstart Enrichments
Cranking /Priming settings
Hybrid Alpha-N
Air Density Correction
RPM Based Accel Enrichment
If you want to check out my car Daniel i can show you the ins and outs, I finally have a laptop for full tuning.
I can help with the install too

wow!!
this is so cool.
when are these available for purchase?!

I guess my quote didnt make sense..
Im thinking on the right page.. I edited my post and added $600 for ITB's (PLUS... I have to buy my own manifolds etc etc etc)
Kevin, s30zforce mentioned he left me a PM and voicemail, so dont worry that one sorry
PrOxLaMuS: I checked Private messages and had nothing if you are referring to here?Kevin

i'm running the 15x8 Sportmax wheels
I am running the toyota 4x4 brakes up front. great clearance

here's a good tip.
Clean off the ends of the charge pipes..
Spray with HAIRSPRAY, slip the silicone couplers on and tighten down.
I promise its like super glue that will break off cleanly with a twisting action.

I was quizin the guy
But I agree.. 1:1 is the stock fpr ratio. =)

my LC1 does the same damn thing..
even with the dropping resistor..
time to post up on MSefi.com?!
