one problem...
HEAT SOAK from the radiator.. the radiator on average is running 190-200* F ... now your trying to pass car through an intercooler right next to it?
ive seen a radiator and intercooler in ONE unit.. similar to a radiator with an transmission oil cooler mounted in one unit... with oil its a good idea..
with air.. bad idea

are the PP bolts torqued to spec? you can run the car with NO hydraulic lines or cylinders in theory and drive the car and have NO slipping..
unless the throwout collar is TOO LONG .. the throwout bearing is constantly pushing on the pressure plate, which disengages the clutch slightly...
what year car do you drive, what transmission setup did you get and from what year car ??

those are dust particles... as you snap the picture, the light from the flash reflects off of the dust and back into the lense..
either that or they are GHOSTS!

weld up a small spacer.. and tilt it up.. clearance will be tight with the manifold.. but im sure you can do it..

R180 with 3.54 gears comes stock (automatic 280z only) manuals came with a R200
ohh and youll be fine with an R180... look at my mods.. and its stood up for 3 years now

you want the HY .. not the HX .. the HX spools slower
i get full boost in 5th gear around 3,500-3,900RPM
sooo an HX would suck on the streets

ohh i dunno... once the car is tuned.. i can only tune soo much with a wideband and a stupid guage...
but ill grab some new wheels and off to bandimere i go!

you want air to flow THROUGH the intercooler... the air underneath the Z is a swirling mass of high pressure air.. i doubt it will get much flow..
unless you have some sort of front splitter, and a venturi/air tunnel forcing all the air through the intercooler I wouldnt recommend it.
buy a FMIC .. and use some BLACK spray paint.. make it look stealthy
