  1. is that the stock location for the o2 sensor,??!?!?, mine is in the Turbo exhaust wheel chamber :S. is that normal ?

  4. my setup is a L20et in a R30 skyline, 2.5" exhaust, pod, and overboost safetly vavle closed off, no acc and no EGR. turbo is stock, running 6psi , stock boost. 50% of the vacume lines have been replaced . which . didnt make much diffrence
  5. This is that problem i have addresed before, but now it seems to be worse. Im now getting 0psi of boost, this is on the factory gauge, It will only accor say driving for 20mins or so, i went for a blat thru the hills around me, and well for the first 2 mins she boosted fine, then bang down to 0psi, . I tell ya a l20et with no boost is a slug Im ever pondering if the wategate is sticking ? or could it possibly be anything with the timing ?. I am completly new to all this, so please chip in with any information. thanks nick
  6. ahh sine we are on Trubo boost topic here is a little one for you now i have the l20et, simple mods, exhaust pod, and thats about it. the turbo is running stock boost, with the overboost safety vavle welded closed. so it should be running 6psi, "notate should" if i give her a hard run say thru 2 gears boost will drop back to 1/2 (stock gauge) and then goes like a N/a. Im suspecting the wastegate is a little bit on the stuffed side of things, ect. since you can do a 6k clutch drop and it wont spin she will bog, not build boost, and the take off. boost will build full, "sometimes" then back off. enough that you can feel it and watch it on the guage. I know its hard to really explain, but its pulling boost back like you wouldnt beleive. is it possible that timing can do this, ect? any insites would be greatfull, thanks nick

  8. souunds similar to what mine is doing, coming off the t hrottle it pops and burbles ect. could this be tim ing ?

  11. i would also look at your EGR vavle, beleive it or not mine was faulty. and on a stock L20et. if flutterd on full boost. causing the lack of power. a cool sound , but.............well yeah you know what i mean. try it. take the line off it and block it. see what it does.
  12. a turbo straight through muffer will give a great smooth sound on a L. mix the sound of a RB motor and the Subaru FJ. and thats what you get. they do drone inside tho, but man. high Rpm they GROWL!!. This is what it sounds like on my L20et in my skyline. 2.5" exhaust, with a turbo straight thru muffler
  13. is it easy to covert it to cable ? . all the people with R30's with a l20et said theirs do this, probably cus the yare 17 years old or so, but :/
  14. what advantage would i gain doing this ? . i have the problem with changing gear on boost it keeps reving on me, say for 2 seconds would that fix it ?

  16. so your saying between Gear changes it would hold rpm for a while?. mine does that on boost. what does this valve look like ?
  17. yeah the exhaust, but yeah it goes in at the dump pipe. EGR? valve
  18. okay looking at the intake manifold on My l20et, at the back. there is a large vavle. that when you take it off it links the Intake manifold and my dump pipe together. :S. its controlled but a VCm.... or something arather: / can someone please tell me what it is for ?. cheer
  19. can you remove all the crap on the intake manifold. say if you using the stock Fuel managment ?. every is stock on mine.
  20. is this on a l20et ? i know my mate ran his on 15psi and smoke a SS ute with it went well. but then blew a head gasket lol
  21. well. thanks for all the replys, im looking into the fuel pump problem, and it looks like my Turbo is playing up also. With the exhaust. its got a gutted gat. then its 2" sraight out the rear, no muffler or anytihng
  22. the car deosnt really bog, it just looses power and its like a surging feeling. :/ i reaplced the fuel pump with a spare i had , i dont know of the condition of this one. probably worth getting a new one. fuel filer is new, and all the pump filters have also been cleaned . if my AFM isnt opening the full way can you adjust them? . ive had one open before of this make. "injectors". humm can you clean them yourself ?. or does it have to be pro done ? cheers, thanks for the replys guys

  24. this is a intresting and well im dumbfounded on it. I own a R30 skyline w ith a L20et in it,. now when it push it hard on Full throttle it will........well. It actaully pulls harder and better on half throttle. could over fuleing or Timing Be the problem ?. I also have a second problem with my Ecu wich is a diffrent matter but stuffs around with the coil and Fuel pump. 50/50% of the time my car will start fine in any weather. but say after 5 mintes of driving it will die. the fuel pump stops. yada yada. and will not turn on when turning the key. leaving it for 5 minites and it will : /. Ive replaced the fuel pump, so i know its not that. It can also sit there when you have the key on the "on" possition and CLikc on and off really qucikly. this is the relay for my fuel pump. Ive swaped them arounnd. a nd it can still do it. this inturn makes my fuel pressure regualtor open and close also. Hence my fuel pump turning on and off. The only way to really fix this was to unplug the ECU (fouund this out today) and plug it back in, and woolaaa the car starts again. please can anyone lend on insite into this since im a newbie at all this. ive got the car along way from what it was. and it runs alot better. Talk about a big learning Curve for me! Cheers. Nick
