point taken, no CNC. haha thanks guys

I'm trying to see if anyone knows of any good deals this year. This year, I'll be waiting for a craftsman compressor from sears, 33gal, 150psi max, dont know any other specs, but you get a free impact wrench, and an air ratchet, all for $300. they also have tool sets for cheap. im also getting a craftsman creeper and mechanics seat for $20, new screwdriver set for $10 (over 15 drivers!!), new 1/4 or 3/8 ratchet and standard socket set for $10. this is ridiculous.

Hey guys, I'm currently going to Cal State University of Fullerton, majoring in business. I hate it. I have no idea why I'm doing this, besides the fact that business majors get nice big paychecks. I recently thought about switching majors, and decided that I wanted to operate CNC machines, or weld. It seems like it would be fun, and I heard they make pretty good money.
I wanted to see if there are any CNC operators or professional welders on this website that can show me the path. If I choose this career path, what should I major in? Should I major in Mechanical engineering or something?

that genius! ill try it tomorrow

i did, the noise is pretty loud, and is the same loudness when i listen to the water, and oil pump. hrmmm. i wonder what MSA is going to say if i tell them i bought a water pump a few months ago and i think its bad? theres only about 75miles on it.
-
thanks for the help guys, AFM is shot.

i have an 81 turbo setup in my 77. I am hearing this weird, "Whoop" noise coming from the front end area. Its not a fast pace noise. I am thinking that its the oil pump. has anyone ever heard of an oil pump going out, and making weird noises? I also had an N/A setup in the car previous, that made the exact same noise. The ONLY part i switched from engine to engine was the water pump, and that was brand new from MSA. also, they both had deleted fan clutches. I am hoping this isnt a bottom end issue.
anyone have this "whoop" noise? btw, it occurs about once every ten seconds

ok, FSM from xenon tells you to disconnect the connector and test.
When i test it with the connector plugged in, i get a reading, which seemed to be in spec. Am I doing it wrong if i leave the connector plugged in?

i dont think i have a short anywhere, i followed pin 23 all the way to the ecu. the "other wire just connects with afm, and goes to ecu. im lost.
-
im looking at the wiring diagrams. the yellow/green. is pin 23. it goes directly to ecu. the other wire on the CHTS harness T's with the AFM and then goes to the ecu. i cant understand how it would be getting ground?.
im testing pin 23 and ground, and get no reading.
-
is pin 23 the yellow/grn?
-
the pins on my afm dont match the pin # in the manual.
-
just bought a new CHTS. the wires itself, that go to the ECU have no resistance. Now the 81 manual, from Xenon, says to disconnect the 16-pin connector. test resistance between pin 23 and ground.
im not getting any reading. i dont understand how the pin should have continuity w/ ground.
any suggestions? comments? thanks
