Thanks guys! I guess I'll just have to bolt them on and see what I'm looking at as far as modifications go. Just wanted to see what other people have done. After a lot of searching I didn't see many 280's, mostly 240's.

Just looking to see what others have done when installing a rear strut bar on a 280z. I don't like the idea of leaving the seatbelt roller exposed. One of my ideas was to cut notches in the plastic covers so that they fit over the bar and still cover the seatbelt roller. Not sure if I have any other option....

I had the same issue. PO used vise grips as window cranks and stripped the splines. I used some aftermarket cranks and they were ok for a while. But soon the little screws holding them on just weren't doing the trick, so I bought some used regulators in great condition from someone on another forum.

Tired of trying to track down shorts in my fuel injection harness. Looking for a known working one.

Remove lower valence. Use C clamps to hold the air dam in place. Make sure everything is lined up straight. Mark where mounting holes will be. Remove air dam, and drill holes. Now bolt air dam in place BEHIND headlight buckets. Not in front. You will also bolt the sides of the air dam to the front/lower portion of the fenders. Basically where the stock valence bolted up. My air dam only allowed one bolt per side where it meets the fenders, but some might have enough lip there to run two bolts per side. ^Agreed. I installed mine myself, and it was not that hard to figure out. I would think a body shop should be able to do it easily.

Great, thanks! I had already started giving it heat with my wife's hair dryer, and pulling down on the passenger side with some weight. Figured I'd give the hair dryer a try since that's all I had to work with tonight. I clamped near the duct and hung some weight from the clamp while heating the area. It's cold tonight so I just let it sit for a while to cool down with the clamp still attached. Just checked it and I think I got it. It's hard to tell for sure until I can pull it out of the garage tomorrow and take a look in the driveway, but it definitely looks more even with the other side now.

I have a urethane air dam I purchased from another member here. It's supposed to be an older MSA one. Had never been mounted before, so it's pretty much new. I have it mounted as straight as I can get it. Everything lines up right, but the passenger side sits higher off the ground than the drivers side. The middle also points upward a bit, so it looks a little wavy if your looking head on. I managed to even out the middle pretty good by adding some support where the lower grill mount is. I bolted the backside of the air dam to that point hoping it would help pull in the passenger side too. But it's still off. I was wondering if heating the air dam with a good hair dryer or a heat gun will allow me to bend it to where it should be? I read somewhere to heat it and then cool once you get it where you want. Maybe holding into place with wooden blocks or something after it's heated. I just don't know if it will actually hold it's shape after it's been heated and bent to where I need it. Anyone else run into this issue? Sorry, it's a tight fit in the garage, so this is the best pic I can get right now. I'll post another one later today.

Jeez, what a pain this has all been. Over a year I've been trying to track this issue down. Well guys, I FINALLY found the real problem. Just as I thought, there was an issue at one of my ECU connectors, but replacing it did not completely solve my boost problem. Bought an ECU (thanks Grnsky!) just to see if the problem was my ECU all along, and sure enough it was. Car has been running better than it ever has. Thanks to all who tried to help. It's been a huge learning experience, considering all the work I've put into tracking this sneaky thing down. I'm a happy guy, and so is my z!

I've seen that car before on another forum, and I could not figure out what was going on with the rear bumper. It looks like it's rubber. Anyone know anything about it?

Check out my build blog in my sig for info on the connector swap. I have only replaced the one plug so far, and the car seems to be running better. Idle has definitely improved, and is much smoother. I don't know yet if this completely solved my issue, but I'll keep updating this thread if there are any changes.
