  1. looks perfect. I just dont want to buy wheels and not be able to run tires that i like on the street and track. then again after putting the M/T ET street radi's on my red 240z, i really miss being able to get tail happy and leaving small cloweds at red lights. maby i dont really need a sticky tire for the street, savd it for the strack. the only reson i was thinking 9" tires was for the traction for road racing & MSR. but the more i talk with old Z friends seems that i dont need the extra width and tire.

  3. The problem I'm having is finding a tire that I like to run in a 16x8 or 9 for the street. Track sure there are options with low high tree wear ratings. I like my friends NT05's...and I have to go 17' to run those....any pointers on a 16's tires? I want a -offset & no smaller then 8 up front 9 rear. Seems that 16s are on there way out. No my panasport are 15x7 0 offsets.(came with car when I bought it... 0 offset really??!!) I think I put the rong color cod down, its the " factory 240z mattalic blue" not the 280z mattalic blue. No I really don't want to cut up Tgf body...as fair as the air dam and "possible" flairs I dont want to change the body or interior (I have momo wheel, gusges,cage, moded rebuilt factory 240z seats/able to accept harnesses, restored 70 dash and center consul)
  4. Just ordered the 4 point from jegs. Energy suspension poli bushings kit. Found a fiberglass air in my area for 50.00 dollars, series 1? No cracks, No air ducts same one on my red 240. ZG flairs, will be cutting the finders, doing it the right way if at all. (kinda having Secound thoughts on the flairs. :/ I need to sleep on it more) Still need the TTT weld in camber plates,240z bumbers, headlight buckets, and 70-71 rear hatch.

  8. Im really not into the flairs...seems that every blue S30 has flairs. I wanted to do wantanbes 16x8 up front 16x9 in rear. you think it will look right with out the flairs?
  9. So here are thr colors. Factory yellow 112 Factory blue mattalic 307 R34 GT-R bay side blue TV2 I'm think blue metallic 307. Also my get talked into flairs.......:/
  10. Also, couldn't help to notice that I'm not seeming Kameari parts being used on S30 builds in the US. Am I'm just not looking on the right builds perhaps? I realize that Kameari's prices arnt the cheapest by any means, but there track record ( for what it is ) is impressive, and they seem to have mastered the high powered N/A L series, & from my resurch ( witch is only a weeks worth) tells me they are drag racing there built S30s. Dose Kameari have a reputation & and track record off the drag stip that I'm just not finding for some reson?
  11. Im shopping for nice quality parts (suitable to my build) for my 240z project. Kameari seems to have some interesting parts on there web page. RHD Japan also has parts listed to sell from Kameari, witch one is a air dam similar to the type one air dam MSA sells? (without air ducts) I've e-mailed RHD Japan but nothing has come back. Also my build is targeted toward building a road racing & autocross machine, that still can be street driven. so suspension,cage, and frame reinforcement Is my biggest focus at this point. Has anyone on hybridz used the Kameari suspension parts? Seems like its no different then TTTs, &mondurn motorsports suspension products.
  12. Ice blasting seems profitable...food idea, now what Do the stsrte numbers look like? Well I'm convened the "hardest" part over this build will be.......what color do I slap on this shell??? I know im using 17x8 CCW classics. I don'twant flairs if I can help it. (not my thing) I want the car to look and be clean, purposefull & well executed. I'm still trying to cope with the idea of welding in a bolt in toll bar from MSA. The car leaves the 16th of may so times a tickin

Well I like Arizona Z cars products (using them on my other 240z), I going to take a different path with my new s30 project, no real reson as to why other then I have a set of 300zxtt (OEM) brake kit f/r. So I wanted to use them and Techno toy tunings rear end swap seems to work with them & see that I'm sporting a 300zxtt rear end and axles this should workout. P.S. looking for a Complete weather striping KIT for my 70 Z. Called MSA...no answer Called Z car source....back ordered for a year now. And help would be much appreheated.

  15. One of the first 1000! Impressive ^.^ Not even camber plate?? My other 240z has a fuel cell, and had to have the tire well cut for it be installed, in witch I wanted to Do the same with this 240 but slept on it and disside NO that cutting it up that much isn't on my budget and truly shouldnt go that fare. I think the car is well held together for its age & I hdve the original gas take witch had been rebuilt (including sending unite) so let's just use that. What's the name of the shop your refering too?
  16. Made up a build sheet for starters. Body- sending car to stance body. Midia blast. Fix all body rust and imperfections. Cut and weld in TTT camber plates. Primer and paint.(factory yellow or silver) Bring car home and start on suspension/brake/wheels swap and build. TTT-Camber plates TTT-Front & rear control arms TTT-Tie rods TTT-Rear end & axle swap kit 300zx TT axles/diff) TTT-F/R strut bars Tokico illumina strut/ground control coilovers 300zx twin turbo brakes swap SS brake lines Run New brake/clutch lines 81 280zx brakes master/booster I have everything as fair as turbo motor/trany/drive shaft/interior/seats/gauges/clutches/ECUs, so all my cost are body (need finders, hatch,windshield,headlight buckets witch I pick up next week ) paint, suspension, wheels, weather striping & wirring. Let's get started!!!!!
  17. I forgot to grab a pic of fire wall numbe will tommarow. I guess the thing to do now is get the sub frame back on the car, and wheels so i can push it around easyer and get it to the body shop. I leaves in about 2 weeks for the media blasting and primer. Were thinkig of painting it pearl white, factory 905 red, 919 yellow,901 silver. lets just flip a coin.

  19. Check this out & what do you think? Solventreplacement.com is the company. I have been reading a lot on the web, and seems there is a lot of maxed feelings over what the "right" approach for the surface rust removal is in my 240s condition. (Media blasting,acid dipping,green solvents,sand blasting, ect). I have the chance to really clean and properly build this early 240z and want to do it right the first time around.... From what I've read the cons to the following were- Midia blast, sand blasting- worping in the body. Acid dipping- not properly cleaned after dipping and acid continues to eat the metal. So help Me out let's here dome ideas?
