  3. I'm going to have to do this. I don't believe I ever done anything to my lot other then bolt them on and go. I'm starting to get that groves effect I believe your talk about. Will have to look into this more. Overall love the kit and braking power.
  4. Have found a set of 16/8 enkei mesh wheels in my area. Offered the guy cash for them but he doesn't have a second set of wheels to use for his 280z. So I was thinking of trading him my panasports straight up. In you opinion, fair or not fair? Both sets are in perfect condition.
  5. Well I'm traveling back to power fab tomorrow for some more tuning and Dyno time. Seems that my walbro 255 fuel pump was going bad and to make matters worse my ECU went bad. So after a new fuel pump, ECU, and AEM wideband installed lets get ready for some more power. I have yet to order ny CCW classics, instead I've put the money towards a set of 40th anniversary Cobra carbon fiber race seats. The classics and roll bar are next on list.
  6. In my opinion, turboing the L28 that you have is going to be the route to take. Best to REALLY site down for a few hours and get personal with surching the site over turbo builds. The motors will make the power and if done right will be reliable for street and track use. Just to name a few things you can look toward to getting towards a turbo build. ECU ( megasquirt) Custom wiring harness (megasquirt) F54 block (factory turbo block) P90 head (factory turbo head) Better turbo aside from the factory t3 if you want to make more the 300 reliable HP. There are tons of turbo builds posted on the site, good idea to relate to them. Really boils down to what your going to do with the car and what kind is power you want. To give you and idea 300whp on a 260 will destroy a gt mustang or gt-500...no afence.
  7. I'm using a built 3.1 stroker, which is boosted as well. It was not cheap at all, but like they said above, if you have the money I say contact robella and talk with them. Power fab automotive built mine, I don't mean to price drop but to give you an idea of the cost I spent over 9k just for the long block. I'm not a engine builder, but wouldn't recommend a newbie trying to assemble an application like this. I have posted my build sheet on hybridz, if you want to relate to it.
  8. I probly will switch to a diffrent oil but, Motor is under a shop warrenty {PowerFab Auto} and they wanted to run the rotella, so its there call if they want to change to somthing else. Update- Some of you may have herd of the 300zx TT trany, literally moving back and forth in between shifting..this is true. So PFA made up a Steel brace to help stabilize the trany were the adapter plate seems to lack, witch has been coated and installed. Ordered some technotoytuning camber plates, front controll arms, Tension Control Rods. Also will be orders a set of custom CCW classics and ZG flares. Will most likly keep the panasports as a extra set. Looking to find some time to dyno this week, as long as work dosnt get in the way
  9. UPDATE- ACT clutch installed, New 300zx clutch master and slave. {not the nabco} Canton oil filter installed, and shell Rotel 15-40 oil change. Vibrent intercooler installed. 750cc Injector Dynamics injectors installed. Car seems to be running well. Braking in the cutch nicly has about 240 miles on the clutch, going to put 300 more miles on it this weekend. Motor has just under 1200 miles on it. Hoping to get on the dyno on monday for some moe tuning and up the boost. Hope everyone had a GREAT new years !
  10. Temp's are back to normal everything seems to be on the right track. Fans were pushing not pulling. know at 782 miles.
  11. Well i drove it wenesday and thursday. Motor has 413 miles now. But seems that the 3,000CFM electric fans are not cooling enof. When the car is moving or at night when its 35-45 degree's the temp is 160-180, but when you get into traffic it jumps to 190-200 and was headed to 210. So its back at PowerFab for some more upgrades to the cooling. I have a Setrab oil cooler witch will help some but i think we are going to have to address the fans.
