  1. Nice S130!! Love the color & wheels, reminds me of my old champagne S130(sold at 230,000 miles). Engine bay and interior shots would be nice to see. Also interesting air dam.....
  2. Update- Well, the owner and I have been talking nearly every dat for the past week. He is getting the car picked up and towed to our local Audi dealer in Houston on Wednesday, and hw is having the techs look the motor and mechanics over for the run down over what's completely toasted and salvagable. Seems that if I don't end up buying the motor that he made so something with (go figure......). Yes has 2 Audi R8's. Ones red the other silver. The silver one is truly track preped and sounds !!Insane!! Guy has money, witch is why its wired to Mr that he has let this RS4 go to complete &*$@...I mean this is a limited production audi and pretty rare, in witch I have never seen one on the street...hw claims the R8s keep him distracted for theRS...lucky him. Yes the trany is going to be interesting....resurching as much as my eyes and brain can handle, scrolling throughout audi forums has helped a lot.
  3. Thanks for the information. I'll bw leaving the 240 here...lol, my dad and brothers can enjoy it for a bit. I'll be living in Denver, so a truck is likely my best option (4x4) after the advice and information is considered. That's awesome to here that there is a tuner/car seen in Colorado I was worried I would get home sick with bot hearing a turbo spool, burn out,fly by...you get the idea.
  4. Well Im getting ready to go to school at Colorado State. I guess my question is, do 240z's with built motors and turbocharges play nice witht elivation diffrence and weather? I know it snows a lot there and there will be salt on the raod as a result, so at first it seems to me that the car should stay here in sugarland/houston,TX. Seems to me its going to sit 9 mounths out of the year. Also after some resurch i found that Colorado only has 91 pump gas, this alone will mean a retune. Any pointers of info would help here, thanks.
  5. Well found out (from Audi) that the ECU is dead. A new Audi OEM ECU is right over 3k. Water in the cylinders is s huge consurn to me, I truly do want to have to rebuilt the motor, & with my stroker 240z still under going its track/street build, my father and I don't want to invest 30K into a project like this, the idea was 15K give or take. This may bot be happening.
  6. Good feed back. From the looks of the interior (depressing) I don't hold good Faith in any of the electronics in the car but hey what do I have to lose on pulling and having audi check the ecu.
  7. Yep, I found it on eBay finally. Ordered 2 of them one for safe keepings I tried HKS site but seem to have not seen it, doesn't mean its not there. Thanks for the hook up!!!!!
  8. I'm assuming the best course of action at this point is to a reasonable price for the motor given its current unknown condition. You right 5k for basically a mystery motor is a lot to ask for. I have been measuring my engine bay ant it seems that the motor will fit but, the headers will need to be moded or custom ( that alone is not going to be cheap at all). Looks like I really am going to have my work and research cut out for this swap to even be remotely capable, but non the less anythings possibly.
  9. The bride seats look amazing! And I'm glad your having success with them. Although, I have a few friends that's have those exact seats and they are not happy with them at all. They all have had ripping issues and the seats just show wearing with in a years time. Al I'm saying is you may want to consider a vinal or leather bride seat, if your going with bride at all. Racaro is the only seat that I personaly will trust to spend money on if its going to be cloth or Suade. I'm going to be using Cobra 40th anniversary carbon seats(leather)
  10. Fitting the motor was my first consurn, ill have to try and dig uo measurements. Long with the idea of the transmission fitting, or I could even use it with it being for a AWD 4 sedan and all. I did however find a guy that dropped a 5.0 audi v8 in his s30, but it was a you tube video not a actual post.
  11. A few streets down in my subdivision there is a 07 Audi RS4 sitting in a residents drive way. It's been sitting in the same spot for nearly 2 years. What a SHAME, i think to my self. So I got the idea to ask why its never driven. Turns out a while back hurricane Ike came through our area and the car was in Houston at the time as was complete submerged in water and the insurance totaled the car. This guy also has 2 audi R8's and is a audi fan. He crotch the car and took a huge lose. I asked him what he was going to do with it and he wants to get ride is it more or less part it out for what he can. Since he has the R8's I guess he's satisfied. I asked him to sell me the motor, witch he said yes to. 5k is what he wants & has 21,000 miles on it. I have researched a lot over the motor and its a nasty motor, but never have I come across a swap into a s30 using this motor. Any help and thoughts here would be helpful.
  12. Wow, what an inspiration. I own a fairly clean 83 280zxT (1 of the clearest in Houston,TX) and want to time attack, & road race the car...one day, but until then its good to know there is a zxr out there wiping up the tracks. Really nice zxr!
  13. Looking for links and pictures In relation to this Z and its build specs.
  14. The 4 pinion kit will clear with a 16 inch wheel & some 15 inch. There is more info on the forum in regards to the installation of the kit. I have AZC willwood kit on my 240z and enjoy then a lot. I'm not sure what the part numbers are for the products but I'm sure Dave at AZC can let you know. P.S. It's important that you have the early 280zx brake master
  15. Wow looks correct, clean, and simple. Good job.
  16. I love this thread I can't get enough. Thank you to everyone that keeps this going.
  17. Ok, I've been surching for the hour...mind filling me in on were you came across this part, would Luke to buy one.
  18. I slept on it. I'm keeping my panasports, just not worth trading for those, wheels.
  19. I'm currently in the works of getting a real carbon fiber/dry carbon, interior door panel set made for my S30. Im probably leaning more towards the dry carbon image. These will be a flat skin door panel, and still have the arm rest, door handle, and manual window arm moldings. It's looking like there going to be around 800-1000 for the set, or more. I'm thinking of having a few sets (3-4) made to sell for those who are willing to have something unique and different.
