  1. the widebody zeeboost referred to is Tetsu Takakamo's car from Ultimate. I did some research and it looks like he piecemealed the parts from a Z31 kit from Kaminari and possibly Avante flares also for the Z31. I love this car someone said it's got 300zx rear end with skyline motor and drivetrain. Here are cleaned up pics since I like it so much.
  2. that is hot dude. does it rattle around at all/make noise?? I am interested in this.

    rack

    what rack is this?
  4. why do you have to remove the head to replace the cam? isn't it an OHC engine? tell me what I am missing. well everything you said seems like a great price to me.
  5. So for ZXs if everything else is good, the worst rattling can come from worn out striker posts. Replacing the striker post fixes the (im guessing) up-down rattle that happens over bumpy roads. I tried the electrical tape over the 'remains' of the post and it cured the noise so tomorrow I'm going to see Oliver and pick up the brand new striker posts. His price $24/ea. Nissan dealership quoted me $30. It is part number (P/N) 80570-41L00 (those are zeros not Os). Here is a link to one: http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/240838/car/133512/674077/parts.aspx Whatever is holding that outer ring taught on this one has disintegrated and gone missing on mine which causes the rattle. I didn't know because it's like that on both sides, as was always the same on every ZX I saw in any junk yard.
  6. Anyone found a fix for this? I'm trying to solve the same problem. Description on Zcar.
  7. I was curious too, with a 79. They got some 81 on up going from $2,500 up to $12,000! Looks like it sort of depends mostly on mileage.
  8. This is my 280ZX. It's a 1979 GL model. When I picked it up it looked pretty bad, shifted bad clutch, bad brakes,... come to find out later the stuff that was still good on the car made a very short list. I see now very few people would have rescued this car from the state it was in like I did. It had a good body, very little rust somehow. Now it has a brand new interior down to the carpet and upholstery. The engine is tuned up, all new ignition system from the switch to the plugs. Well without further ado here are the pics (none of the new interior yet but use your imagination, all clean shiny black...).
