Nothing like digging up a 2 year old post...please check the dates on the posts you're about to reply to. This project car has probably already been completed and is either running or the idea was scrapped totally. Sometimes people don't update the threads when they complete a project, sometimes they even start a new one to show off their work, abandoning a thread in which questions were asked. Sorry for the bad news, but I doubt you'll get much more out of this thread.

Yeah, it was a little easier to do on the ZX because the turn signals are separate from the gauges...however, the High Beam indicator was in the tach. I moved it to where the "Sensor" idiot light was (upper left) and put a digital transmission shift indicator where the more or less useless bulb/fluid "check" assembly was.
Just commenting on your work here, so I don't want to post any pictures of it as it would steal from your thread.

Nice work, looks like it belongs there. Sometimes taking the extra step to incorporate old parts into the new parts and vice versa makes the difference. Kudos to you for going the extra mile to do it that way.
Having gone through something similar with my ZX main cluster, incorporating Autometer gauges into the panel and retaining the idiot lights and turn signals in working form, I kinda feel like I've been down the road you're on.

Well, it wasn't really racing (no opponent), and it wasn't on a curvy course (not into that), but it is mine and it was on a track....
Sorry, couldn't resist.

They ARE what they say... do a quick search on the net for Borlem Manufacturing. This is the first result...there are many more.

Seems you may have made one too many trips to Maui, had one too many pineapples, eaten too much sugarcane, or just have ENTIRELY too much time on your hands. Perhaps a trip to the mainland would do you some good.
(Just playing, no offense intended).

Actually, they LOVE their boxes...never seen another dog breed that actually likes their little safety zone so much. But that's hi-jacking the thread...sorry.

Haha, I love how the dogs are tucked away in their boxes while
the master of the house spends quality time with his beloved Z
Looked at the pics and missed that...Boxers in Boxes, looks like mine. I have 3 in 3 boxes...hehe

Wouldn't it be more prudent just to ship in water than to evacuate an entire city? Seems pretty drastic. We've been under water restrictions here for a while too, but it's not like they're thinking of evacuating or anything. Seems pretty silly to leave everything behind due to lack of water, especially when nobody's life is in direct harm.

Doesn't look TOO bad so far...throw some floor pans in it and ressurrect it. It CAN be done...hehe

Mike and M4x, Use the Advanced Search on the member search and only put in Tucson in the location. It returns 38 people at the moment.
1 tuff z, that reiterates the point of people filling in their profile properly. If people would fill it in, it would be searchable. Some people don't fill in the location field for a reason, what that may be, I have no clue, but from the information that is provided, the location search works pretty well.
I discovered it by accident myself last year when I was looking for someone else here in GA. I'm by no means an expert about the software, but I'm not afraid to look around within it.

Here's the perfect helmet for use with that truck, and I came about II close to doing my car in the same scheme once I saw this helmet. Then I came to my senses...
There are several KBC helmets along the same theme available. That is the one I have as well.

Click on Members List above, then use the Member Search feature, put in Tucson or AZ and it'll show you only those...
No sense in re-inventing the wheel. Just use the features we already have.

I use the SDS EM4-6F and datalog using the Innovate LM1 with the LMA2 RPM converter. Have no problems with the system. Currently datalogging, AFR, MAP, RPM, TPS, IAT and EGT. Seems to work very well. The whole setup was a little expensive, but I still don't have to have a computer (laptop) in the car to make adjustments, can still tune on the fly, and can study or print out logs after runs, and like I mentioned, don't have to worry about a laptop flying around or taking up space. Just an idea.

Cutting a hole/drilling in cast iron.. whats the best way?

I simply used a bi-metal hole saw...went through it with no problem, straight, clean and true. Took a little while, but with a good drill (not a cordless) you shouldn't have any problem.
