  1. Today was very unsucsessful. I tested for spark and fuel. Not getting fuel but i hear the injectors ticking. Anyway. I realised that the map foes not match my firmware version. 3.4.2 so i assimed thats part if not all of the problem. I go to change it and all of a sudden my ms2 is failing to connect no matter what i do. I spent 3 hours troubleshooting today and got no where. Smh
  2. I have many intake manifolds i can rob another regulator off of if i really need it right now. I have an lc-2 wideband and gauge but its not connected to the ms2 so it doesnt mess with any of it yet. And how do i go about swapping the settings from one file to another?... can i not just open the downloaded file?. Is that cause the versions dont match?. How do i open the downloaded tune just to view and then copy it to another file?. Do i have to like adjust any like TPS settings to get that correct cuz i think this tune was using the MAP sensor instead. Thankyou for the reply. I just need it running then i can go from there but its hard to adjust tune settings without it running you know. Thankyou
  3. Hello. Im fairly new to the forum but i need help with my megasquirt. I restored and engine swapped my 260z and its finally time to get her running. I bought and assembled my megasquirt. I also made my own wiring harness with DIY's harness. Im almost positive i havnt made any mistakes along the way however the actual tuning part of the ms2 boggles my mind and i have no idea what im doing. I need a map that i can get my car running on for now. It is a stock block with a fresh rebuild, p90 head,stock distributor with DIY' trigger wheel. stock turbo injectors, stock turbo and psi, 240sx throttle body and tps, walbro 255lph inline fuel pump, i have bypassed the fuel pressure regulator for now as it wasnt allowing fuel though. I have messed arounf with some other maps i found on the forum but none of them are perfect. I want to say my firmware is the latest for ms2 extra. i belive i have the pcb 3.0. i will atatch the tune i found and am looking thru. Anything helps thankyou. CurrentTune.zip

Yes i see rpm in TS. i have xg1 jumpered to xg2, igbtout to ign, tachselect to optoin, tsel to optout, igbtin to js10, s12c to js9, and then the four loger jumpers jumped to corresponding holes. i allready checked and tested the tuner studio settings for the led and they all seem to be correct. i even switched them around and tested them to see if i could at least get something but nothing still. I will be swapping my engine soon and making the harness. Do you think it would be a bad idea to try and run it as is.
  5. i have no wiring connected. i havnt gotten that far yet im simply testing my ms2 with the megastim. i bought the wheel with slots cut out of it from DIY. and i dont think i wired the jumpers and hall sensor setup wrong otherwise tunerstudio would read my stim. wheras it is reading my stim.
  6. Im using the hall sensor on the 82 l28et dizzy. i set it up for hall by following the megamanual 3.0 board and im pretty sure im running opto.
  7. I have just finished assembling my MS2 for my 82 l28et. The megamanual explains how to do the final testing. and none of the three ms2 LED's light up like it says they should. i am almost positive i didnt make any mistake assembing the last section. on tunerstudio i currently get all gauges reading from operating the stimulator. the stim has fuel pump light on and i1, i2 flickering. anyone have any ideas. i want to get this swap done !! thanks

  9. Hello i am new to this forum so i am not sure im doing this right but. i recently bought a ms2 DIY kit from diyautotune and all was going well until i was instructed to download the firmware. I got the firmware and downloader from msextra, i run the program and i get a message (in picture). i have checked my power multiple times and the megasquirt has passed all the previous tests using the db9 adaptor from diyautune and the stimulator. i have researched everything and can not find any information on how to get the firmware downloaded with this problem. Ive been struggling with this for a total of 7 hours by now and i just want it to work. ive tried everything. HELP ME!!!!! lol.
  10. Hello i am new to this forum but i hope to get some opinions. I have fully restored my 260z and it is mostly stock, i recently bought and rebuilt a l28et. now that the engine is done i am moving to the wiring and i come to realise that i do not have the proper wiring harness. The guy i got the engine from gave me everything he had. by the looks of it i have a 82 l28 ecu and harness, a later 70's wiring harness slightly cut up, and the correct 82 l28et ecu. Should i bother with the stock ECCS and make a harness or should i buy a megasquirt. The megasquirt is tempting but im one to save a dollar. the megasquirt seems very complicated for my liking. if anyone has an 82 l28et harness i need it. My hope is to finish this swap before april. thankyou
