sorry i forgot you have coilovers..with coilovers you can run wider rims. but i would leave the backspacing the same and go wider.that way you can put bigger tires in there..if you go out then you reduce the size of tire you can put in there. i have no coilovers so i had to go 3.5" bs to accomodate adn because centerline would only go that wide..also centerline will not go wider then 3.5" unless you go 5 lug then the next size up they offer is 9.5"...good luck..the style you picked is nice..phillip

well I did get a response back from david today..and he says he will call me back with prices..so things are looking up...so hopefully i will get a good price...iskone i did send you a few pm's odd that only one got thru perhaps mailbox full or something..i was just concerned i was getting back zero responses after about 2 weeks of trying to get anything.. so we will see... by the way i inquired about 17x9 and 17x8's volk wheels...thanks and if i get a price pm me and i will tell you what it was....phillip
-
WELL I pm'ed you no response a couple of times now...and i have called r&d whatever the dealer you quoted....nobody it seems has gotten any prices out of you....and as far as that company r&d i have called at least 30 times and no one has ever answered the phone or returned called... thanks for getting me excited for nothing... i am going to order the custom centerlines wheels at centerlinewheels.com they can get you 17" rims with datsun wheel pattern and spacing no problem and are about $150 a wheel.. so sorry ,don't mean to flame but i have done everything to get information and i have gotten nothing.. phillip

i must say jim has done an excellent job repainting and modifying this 1973 z..the car was pretty straight but had dings everywhere. He put on metal flares (vb flares) took off all emblems and side marker lights, and we put on a front and rear msa kits..these did not match up with the msa kits..so we modified them and also made the front and rear kits removable..on top of that he installed all new rubber...Jim does great work for a very modest price..he is a great guy and we are now friends..thanks again jim!! looks like a slide but has potential to be sure...how about a stock 240z dash? please anyone? phillip

The flares are not super wide because it is meant to be a subtle flare that looks slightly wider..I believe its 3 1/2" wider in the rear and 2/12" in the front. The flares have been completely welded and then ground down and blended in i believe. I chose these flares because they were different and they are steel. I may have to run a 9 or 10" rim i am not sure. i am sure i have not seen these flares coupled with a msa aero 2 kit so it should be diferent..Jim has got his work cut out for him thats for sure... now if i could only find a console.......phillip

i think those are victoria britsh flares..those are the one bigjim is putting on the z a few posts down that says one flare complete...
-
perhaps i will take it!! and you can show it off there..

the car is mine and jim is doing the work for me..as far as tire size i would like to stay with a 16"rim but will have to probably go to a 17" for better tire selection.the car will be painted a 2003 mazda miata black cherry mica..anyone thinking of painting there car should look at the mazda rx8 and miata colors they are fantastic!!I almost changed to the red because of the color..go see these colors in person and you will see what i mean..pics do no justice to these..Jim is doing a great job and putting alot of effort..hopefully what i have selected for this car will look alright...I like these flares ecause they are unique...any way thanks again jim for the work...phillip

hey mark can you post some pics to see how your looks now and maybe how you blended it in?...thanks phillip
