  1. Give the guys over at Sinco Customs a shout. Others will beg to differ, but they're the best. They'll accommodate anything.
  2. I got it for $1500 plus gas and trailer rental. I figure it'll be hard getting my money out of it.
  3. So I bought this car by mistake. I honestly thought I wouldn't win the ebay auction when I made my offer...stupid me. Anyway, I am looking to get rid of it, all out, or part it out. What are your opinions? I already have a 1975 280Z project going on and this is just too much for me to tackle. It came with four carbs total, has two rear coilover setups, an aftermarket gas tank, some janky custom metal work (no offense if one of you originally owned it) and some chassis reinforcement that I actually like. Alloy wheels Not sure if the diff is original, but probably is.
  4. I need an email address. File size should be around 53gb. If it's smaller, it's not the complete file.
  5. Everyone, it seems that some of you are having problems with the virtusurv file and it not serializing. I will be reuploading it in the next couple of days. The link should automatically direct everyone to the correct files. However, just let me know if I need to recreate a new link and I will happily do so. I would love to know what people are doing with the scan files! Personally, I hope to benefit from all this by seeing a better selection of aftermarket and replacement parts at more attractive prices...especially coming from the 3D printed markets. Thanks all!
  6. If you need a copy of the scan, send me a message with what you need and your email. You will need dropbox

  7. Got it uploaded! PM me your email and I'll send you a link!
  8. Hey, if this becomes a big thing, what are my chances of having a long nose R-200 LSD shipped to me? Eh? Eh? LOL
  9. BTW, still uploading. I can't use my employer's upload bandwidth so I'm using my home's. Last I saw it said 200 days, I doubt it'll take that long. If you want to paypal me the money for an SD card and postage, you can. Or, you can send me a shipping envelope and SD card and I'll mail it back. PM me if you want to do either.
  10. Wow thank you! And thanks for the complement! I will make this available to all tonight!
  11. Good news: I don't feel ethically right selling the point cloud because the quality is not as high as I would expect, had I purchased one. Therefore, I'm going to make it available for download for free. However, you will need to be able to import .rcp files. There is also a .pvp file you can use Virtusurv to read. This is invaluable because it allows you to precisely dimension parts using photos among other things. There is a Scene2Go .exe file included so you won't need to download software for that. Just find the .exe file. I will post directions. In the future, I would lik
  12. Soo...it's rough. Scanners do not like gloss or glass. However, the virtusurv file is perfect. Resolution? Oh, I really have no clue as I only know how to work with the finished product and primarily use it for refinery design. It takes a lot of sectioning and clipping to drill down on specific parts, however, it's all there. I need to take more measurements because my initial measurements between shock towers seems too short.
  13. 52 gb file. I'll post some screen captures of the scan for quality. I'm running home now to grab an SD card.
  14. As you can see about my car personally, I need to adjust my mounts.
  15. Coworker is finishing up the virtusurv files right now. I think he may just need to finish registering the scans. Could all be ready as early as tomorrow, late as this friday. I also need to arrange and setup a password protected FTP. Guy scanned the dash the best he could, attached a photo of the condition of the dash as it was scanned. Overall we got in at least 40-45 scans; 12 minutes each scan, 5 hours of scanning, 2 scanners, no breaks
  16. Scanning went well this morning. With two FARO scanners going, it took roughly 5 hours to scan the inside, out, top, etc.. We were able to get a lot of the underside! We were also able to get scans from the top, looking down into the engine bay!
  17. This is what I'm scanning tomorrow. I'm not disassembling the dash, therefore, that will need to be hand-measured at some point. I'm scanning a few other things in addition. Do yall think I should mount a fender on one side so that it's not warped by sitting or hanging somewhere?
  18. Tomorrow I'm having my 280z laser scanned. I'll be creating a cad model based upon the scan. I have to pay for the laser scan and I'll have time vested into the CAD portion, so I'll most likely charge for any files. If your hardware/software can handle point clouds, I can setup an FTP for you to download the .rcp and .pvp files. That's Autodesk ReCap and Virtusurv.
  19. It will be in Autodesk ReCap .rcp file format and VirtuSurv .pvp file format. For drawing files, I use .dwg exclusively at work and mostly at home. Therefore, I will have a steep learning curve modeling in any other format.
  20. This weekend, my coworker and I will be laser scanning the inside and out of my 280z. The model will be setup as such: 1. Fenders and front bumper off 2. All doors open, windows down 3. Interior stripped (except ceiling) 4. Wheels off 5. RB25, tranny, installed 6. Core support cut/altered I will be hanging the fenders, bumpers, and my turbo from my garage rails in such a way that they are included in the scan as well. I will be able to piece together the model eventually. The reason I'm bringing this up is I will be making the point cl
  21. Sorry for the lack of different angles. This manifold is legit! Clean welds inside and out! It's rather heavy as it's thick wall pipe. As I'm typing this, I can't remember if the piping is schedule 10 or 40, but really feels and looks like 40...I'm a piper by trade. My only problem I have is that I purchased a titanium stud bolt kit from real street performance and will end up needing to go with hex-head bolts on 4 of the bottom flange bolts as I can't get a wrench around the nuts that came with the stud bolts due to their length and clearance between the ends and the pipe. I gues
  22. I will post photos of that when it's delivered. I've wondered that myself.
