  1. At a price of $1000 16hp and 6tq is really pretty dismal. My 01 corvette saw 38hp and 40 ft/lbs from a header install with a stock z06 motor. I'm wondering if there is a scavenging or runner length issue. I was seriously thinking about buying these for my motor, but with that performance upgrade, I will just bump up to an f1r blower and live with the shorties... Was any fuel tuning done btw? Cause if it wasn't changed for the headers, then these numbers are worthless for an example...
  2. Its pretty smooth as long as I do it right. So far haven't had any really nasty touchdowns.
  3. It looked so nice too.... And some of us use every last bit of our 10"
  4. Throw that air filter out the window. I can't even begin to describe how restricting those things are. Get a nice drop base round filter with a K&N element. Nice looking setup though otherwise
  5. Don't take it so personally. It really seems like something the shop should have addressed to you initially. Thank you for your effort, its just extremely frustrating waiting all this time with them telling you so late in the process they wont even be attempting an auto setup. So this is only going to be for a t56 car? I might still get a set and adapt them to a th350/400 since it would be easier than getting a full set made custom.
  6. Umm. What? This seems like a pretty vital thing to address in the beginning of the build... I would think quite a few people (At least the people that actually plan on going fast in a straight line) will be using an auto trans. So he isn't going to try to get them useable for an auto at all? I guess I am out, which is really frustrating since I had my fab guy NOT make headers for my car.
  7. Thank you. Glad someone else typed it out cause I didn't want to go through all the effort. I've built VGs and 2JZs and there is no comparison, the toyota motor is hand down a better motor.
  8. +1 Thank you guys for going through this trouble, I know its not easy.
  9. doesn't look to be equal. Little disappointing but still way better than the shorties currently available...
  10. I love the TTT tension rods. I just put them on my 240z and they are a beefy, well designed part. Nice build you have going on there!
  11. Ah, ok. I deleted everything on my car, but I run corvette accessories and a blower so it wouldn't be any help really. You should have the alt, wp, crank and a idler that is up top on the passenger side of the water pump. That doesn't work?
  12. Do yourself a favor and either use a string or an old belt to measure the belt length and goto the store with that info. Any store can get you a belt that will work. Guessing off someone elses picture is really a bad way to go about getting the correct belt. Its 15 minutes of work that will make life a whole lot easier.
  13. Just try to make sure they leave enough room for 1 7/8" primaries since a few of us plan on getting those style.
  14. Shoot, I called them and I guess it sold over the weekend. I couldn't make it down for the trip sadly.
  15. Maybe the subtle Z hood, wonder if it comes with the 280z vents installed.. That other one doesn't look like it would fit a non-Gnose 240z
  16. Yah, I have no interest in building one. The steel hood weighs a ton so if I am gonna put any effort into the hood I will be swapping it to fiberglass and I don't want it to take a ton of work. Just want something easy and quick. Rucus, email me pics and a price, mista240z@gmail.com Im betting shipping will be prohibitively expensive though unless you have a hookup..
  17. Its a 4" cowl and a gradual slope. I want less cowl and a sharper edge on the cowl, like the msa one
  18. Does anyone have a place I can get a decent cowl induction hood for a 240z? I want a max of 2-3" of cowl, no 4+"ers. The only thing I seem to find is huge pin on cowl. Anyone have any suggestions?
  19. Yah lets get these coming, Id rather get my car started with these instead of the Sanderson headers
  20. 402ci with stock ls6 top end, custom cam and a D-1sc. Made 675 at 9lbs of boost in my corvette. Will be running about 12lbs in the datsun
  21. I will settle for 1 3/4" headers if I have to. They are better than the shorties currently setup on my car. I would much prefer the 1 7/8" ones though
  22. Damn, my motor currently makes 700rwhp and will be making more soon. An extra $350 is painful. Any package price for getting all the options? hahaha I'll decide which set I want when we get to the order phase. I may just sit with 1 3/4 and deal with the small power loss
  23. I totally read 1 7/8" not 1.75 Is there going to be an option to get this in 1 7/8? 1 3/4 is a bit small for my 402/blower setup
  24. I may very well want the collector too, I will let you know before the list is full though.
