  1. This week I top up all of the fluids and finally try to start the 680g.
  2. Now you tell me I will jump it for now, but I may need to look into changing the brass fittings as apparently they have been known to fail after extended vibration.
  3. In this episode I finally do something about the suspension and ride height of the 680.
  4. In this episode Benny gives me a hand to bleed the brakes and I finish off the exhaust tips.
  5. In this episode I have a go at TIG welding a stainless steel exhaust for the 680g with a bit of help from Benny, aka The Mechanical Stig.
  6. In this episode I put a few finishing touches on the exterior of the 680g and some of them may be controversial.
  7. I have a set of Deutch connectors that I will replace any dodgy ones with if I need to.
  8. In this episode I go back and tidy up a bunch of loose ends on the 680g
  9. In this episode I attempt to sort out the birds nest that is the wiring on the 680g
  10. In this episode I try my luck at cutting and buffing the 680.
  11. I am completely open to trying different options. My logical mind would say that starting at the closest and ending at the furthest would be the best way. That way all the bubbles get pushed further down the line until they exit, but I really think that part makes very little difference. I will give it another go and see.
  12. In this episode I swap around the brakes and have another go at bleeding them.
  13. In this episode I tackle the rest of the diamond stitched trim in the interior of the Z.
  14. Soaking the cord in water is a great tip, as often we are pulling it really hard to get it out. As for the trim, I am not putting it in in this case, as the car didn't have any when I bought it, and I have deleted the chrome from this car anyway, but good to know.
  15. In this episode I sort out the final fit up of the front end.
  16. In this episode, I tackle the trimming on the rear wheel arches.
  17. I have spent the last week sweating it out in the heat fitting seatbelts and reassembling the doors.
  18. This week I redo my Datsun's dash repair with a factory style textured finish.
  19. In this episode I have a go at repairing the dash and also modify and fit an accelerator cable to my Z.
  20. In this episode I install the electric fuel pump and tidy up some more of the engine bay in the 680g
  21. I did it the same way I have been taught with all wheel bearings. Basically you tighten it up until it it hard to turn and then back it off just enough to get it to spin freely, and you are good.
  22. This week I finish up the Toyota big brake upgrade on the 680g.
  23. Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing day to you all. Today I tinkered a bit and I got the carbies installed
