  1. In this episode I attempt the Toyota 'Big Brake' upgrade on the Z, and also tidy up that rear end.
  2. I am heading out today, to see what I can find as far as studs go. We will see.
  3. Haha, I am sure there are many people that love watching my torment
  4. I did switch back to the correct throw out bearing, and after my playing around, if I went to the longer collar (how I simulated going back to the large on that it came with) the fork is wedged hard against the front of the opening. Now the fork is sitting exactly where it should, but I just have the incorrect slave cylinder. I think the fix I have done with the pin will work perfectly. The moustache bar is something I will look further into, as there appears to be several different ones, but I should be able to grab one.
  5. I have the top dowel, not the bottom one. I am happy enough with the gearbox alignment now, it is just that cover plate was a pain. We will see I suppose if I have stuffed up.
  6. This week I tackle the driveline, and try to make this collection of random parts work together.
  7. This week I get some help to put the engine and box back into the car.
  8. Good tip. I didn't even think about it, but I will change it around before putting it in.
  9. I was actually looking at that, as the slave I have would push straight through the hole. I managed to pick up the correct fork yesterday, so unfortunately I have to take the gearbox back off and change the fork, but it should be a quick job.
  10. Time to install the clutch and gear box, getting ready to reinstall the engine to the car
  11. This week I tackle the sound deadening but not everything went to plan...
  12. In this episode I go through tidying up and finishing of more of the interior trim.
  13. This week my challenge was to make new door trims for the 680g and I decided to give diamond stitched inserts a go.
  14. The factory plastic trim pieces for my 240z are all cracked and broken, so this week I repaired them and covered them in alcantara.
  15. Today I started to replace the wiring in the car and getting it ready for the engine.
  16. Now most of the painting is done, I realised I didn't know what I needed to to next so it was time to formulate a plan.
  17. Today's task was to paint the rest of the parts for the 680, but it didn't exactly go to plan..
  18. Wow the paint looks great in the sun! This week I unmask the car, and do something with those nasty mirrors.
