  1. Thanks mate. My paint job is still not perfect, but it is all about taking your time. You will do fine if you don't rush it ;)
  2. It has been a whole lot more work than I had hoped, but I finally have the car in paint.
  3. The final exterior paint stage is getting close. This week I finish off the last bits that need to be painted before the body, including the most difficult part. The roll cage.
  4. This week I get into painting the rest of the inner parts. Another big step to finishing the paint.
  5. I think of ounces more as a measure of weight, but that is because we don't use them, so I have no idea. My brain just went to the converter on my phone and it cam out with 680 or 680g as I may call it
  6. This week it is back to sanding and primer on the 680, but it all heads towards getting it ready for the final paint.
  7. This week I finally get the colour onto my 240z. It has almost been 12 months of work to get to this point, and it still has a long way to go, but it is great to reach this milestone.
  8. This week I start the final stages of sanding to prep the car for paint.
  9. This weeks job was to mount my seats to the car, but nothing ever goes smoothly, and there is always that last bit of rust...
  10. This week I finish assembling my L28 engine for my 240z and do the timing.
  11. This week I finish off the head assembly and mount it to the block. It is coming together and I am getting excited.

  13. This week I finally get to rebuild the bottom end of my L28 for my Z.
  14. This week I am getting stuck into the L28 engine for my Datsun 240z. That includes balancing the pistons and rods.
  15. This week I fit the mirrors to the front guards and then start cleaning up the pistons to get them ready to re-assemble the L28 engine for my Z.
  16. This week it was a matter of doing a bunch of stuff that I had to get done on the Z before I can start throwing colours around.
  17. I am back from my hectic week building my engine in the US and I am getting back into working on the Z. This week I got into primer and cleaning.
  18. This week I get a quick coat of Epoxy Primer on the shell.
  19. This week it is time to prep the body of the Z for primer.
  20. It took a lot longer than I had hoped, but I finally get the body work finished and get into painting some high fill.
  21. I wasn't happy with the results of my compression calculations previously, so I have had the head shaved again and it is time to recalculate.
