ZR8ED you were talking about roll bars not being installed right. i got mine a few weeks ago and when i installed it i pushed it as far back as it would go and i can barely get a finger between the bar and the roof.

could you just use the rear flares, hood and a smaller front flare w/stock front end or would that look funky?
-

for a minute there i thought the car was resting on books and tupperware

this kinda off the topic but...
i was wondering if this would be a good set up for AutoX. My car is running Eibach coilovers with 250lbs/in springs all the way around, suspension techniques sway bars 32mm front/27mm back, urethane bushings, its got slight toe in in the rear, some -camber all the way around, and im going to be running 205/50 azenises. also what shock setting would be best for autoX? (5 way adjustable). its seems that there are some seasoned autoX guys here so any replies would be helpful.

a whole $1700, which is a lot for me since i only make $40 a month
(allowance)
i want to get a loan of 6 or 7 grand from my dad so i can completely mod the motor w/everything turbo from MSA (and NOS). Im looking for 350hp or more when im done. no more money for the suspension because its already done and i finished the interior. I WANT 11'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by the way what kind of turbo did they use in the early Z turbo set up in SportZ?

my dad's 280 2+2 gets vapor lock sometimes when sitting in the parking lot. i dont think that it is the fuel pump or filter because we just took a trip and got up to 120 MPH and the engine wasnt struggling at all. what could it be? also when he starts up the car sometimes it revs, pops a couple of times and then idles rough (almost dying) for a while and is fine after that. does it just need a good tune up?
-
in my dads 280 sometimes when he starts it up it will rev pop a couple of times and idle rough 4 a while then be fine. why it does that i dont know

those cadillac northstar engines sound a lot like a F1. w/a good exhaust it wouls sound really good
-
i'll send the wheels up to the 18's. i cant send them all at once so i'll send them like 3 pages at a atime (my net is slow)
-
which engines do you think have the best sound? stock or modified.
for me in no particular order ;
*small block V8
*inline 4 boxer (subaru WRX)
*straight 6
edit: flat 4 not inline

280ZX CLUNK!!!

if you get your u-joints replaced make sure you get good ones. On my dads car he has to replace the u-joints on the car twice because they put in REALLLY cheap ones. when we jacked up the car the u-joint had about 1/2 in. movement. the car would make these horrible clunking and it also sounded like something cracking when he would go after a light, especially on a hill.
