I got a new sending unit from napa. Im gonna go ahead flush the system out this afternoon. James B.

im thinking that now maybe it could be the spring in the pump itself. I dont really know though. I have already changed the sending unit and it didnt change anything. The pressure seems to fluctuate up and down. Or im also wondering if maybe there is some sludge in the pickup. Is there some kind of flusher that i would be able to run through the the oil system and not harm the engine. James B.

How hard is it to change the oil pump on a l28. Ive been having trouble with oil pressure and ive done everything that i thought would fix it but nope, so im gonna change the pump now. I dont have to pull the pan down do i? doesnt it hang off the front of the timing cover? Little help please. James B.

The car is a stock 1976 280z with the fuel injected 2.8 liter. I was wondering if you put to much oil in an engine, like 1 quart over would that make it so that the oil would hit the crank and make it foam. Ending up by loosing oil pressure. Im not sure but i think i added 1 quarts to many. While i am on the streets keeping the motor under 2 grand it seems to be fine but on highways speeds like 3 grand and up it drops all the way down to like 0 to 4 pounds. I checked the gauge and the sender and i dont seem to have a problem with them. I have heard of this happening before but i didnt think that one quart would cause this. James B.

I got it to start but it is loading up on fuel really bad so i dont know what to do now.... James B.

ITs a 76 280z. Its got all the stock original fuel injection on it. I dont know if it has anything to do with it but when it did this i had just went to the parts store and bought oil and stuff to change the oil in it, i changed the oil and filter and went back to start it and thats when it started doing this. Im having a problem with my z. It seems to be flooding. I cant figure it out. i was driving it and it was running fine,i shut if off and came back to it 5 minutes later and it wouldnt start. So i held the accelerator to the floor to clear it out and it started but it was sputtering really bad. It smelled really rich to so thats why think it was flooding. What do i do to correct this. Or is it somthing simple to fix. James Bassett

After a complete tuneup and rebuilding the brakes, this car runs awesome. I got to take it to the tire shop tomorrrow though, after sitting so long it has water built up in the tires. Also if anyone around me ( San Diego) has a grill for a 76 that they will get rid of let me know please. James B.

On my new Z i had a wheel cylinder take a $*&@ on me. I cant get the fricken drum off. Im pretty sure that it should come off with the brakes backed off and and nothing else should be holding it. It wont come though. I have heated it, beat the crap out of it, and put a puller on it and nothing. Is there some trick to get it off. Need help soon as possible. James B.

You can make plenty of power with a 1st gen small block for not alot of money. James B.

Need a little help? When my z is running and i pull the battery cable off the motor dies. Now i thought that meant that the alternator isnt doing its job. When i check the volts at the alternator while it is running it shows like 14.3 (which is good) and when i check the battery terminals while they are on the battery and it is running it shows like 14.1 ( which is good). I just thought that when u take the cable off its suspose to stay running from what the alternator is putting out. James B.

I agree with you goldraven, to spin anything to 7000 and be comfterable with it your gonna have to spend between 800 to a 1000 on the bottom end of any engine unless you stick with the rotary. James B.

The interior is pretty clean except for the seats and the hole where somone pulled there stereo out. Last weekend z tard gave me a set of 2000 camaro seats that he has already made mounts and stuff for them so that solves the seats. Cant wait till i can drive it, my car now is killing me on gas its getting like 12 miles to the gallon and im driving it to class everyday, its not really streetable. James B.

Im gonna drive it for now, im gonna wait a year till it is smog exempt and i have a 377 in the garage and i figure ill put a t5 or t56 behind it. I didnt really look at it that close when i first saw it but now that i got it at my house ive realized that it is really clean. I cant find any rust anywhere. The car was originally silver. The body kit that is on it im probably going to be taking it off it somone wants it make me an offer. I have a question about it though maybe somone can answer, the car doesnt have a cat on it and i was wondering if it was gonna have to have one or not? Does that depend on if it was a california car or not and if it does where can i find out where the car is from. James B.
