Hey JNJ, what did the car run without the blower on it and just the 412 motor by itself no power adders?

Im in San Diego also, about 5 minutes east of downtown. I have done 2 240z v8 swaps for guys in the past and just finally just recently bought a 280z that I pulled the motor out of tonight to start the swap with a 400 small block and a 700r4. I also have a green 73 chevy vega that I have raced down at racelegal for the past 2 years pretty much every race. I recently pulled the motor out of it though for a freshen up. I think it would pretty cool to have a meet up sometimes here in San Diego. I have some friends that have 240's also that have done sr and rb swaps. I'd really like to see other peoples cars, share info and get to know some more z people here in SD. James

this might sound crazy but if i remember right my uncle had the same problem on a 1980 chevy luv he told me to buy Mobile 1 fully synthetic oil( the $6-$7 a quart one) use that and run the car for a few mins and it sometimes sets it free it worked for him and since then he only uses mobile 1 =/ ive never tried it but he said that ♥♥♥♥ is magic

what you could do is take out each speaker and see what color the wires are, that way you know for sure which are the speaker wires. the solid black should be ground but what you probably should do is follow every wire to its end. that way you know all wires are good and you could replace any if needed. the jumpered ones might be the power, just check with a tester.

i thought the sun was big! ive never even heard of those other stars, or are they planets? by the color i would guess other suns ?? btw im going to antares for christmas =P

the ez2wire kit seems like a good deal. with whatever you go with though try and stay away from the butt connectors and crimps, solder all your connections and use heat shrink tube as its much stronger and looks better also =)

if that kit has the same features as painless i say go for it. painless does do a good job with labeling the wires, providing a basic schematic and includes fuses. i ended up with painless on another project only because thats all i knew, now i would not hesitate to use a different brand as long as it came with something to reference to.
