i'm going to call today... man just sucks that i have to send it back, been waiting to finish my dash. i guess it has to be done.
has anyone had this problem before???

hey guys, just got my gauge faces from Speed hut about a week ago and i am finally getting around to installing them... I'm running into a problem with the gauges for some reason?!?! two of the small gauge pods are not lighting?? it seems like the wire to the back of the gauge faces have a bad connection. It will flicker but not stay lit? I've taken the gauge pods out and have tried to reposition the faces to make the wire have less stress but it only seems to work for a short while then out again?
my dash is out and i am testing the gauges with a car battery. I made sure to handle the connections and wires with great care but still no luck?!?! I've read a previous install from auszcar and read the instructions carefully before installing? i still dont know what i am doing wrong. please can someone help me... about to call quits on this project.

wow... that is nice! wish i would have seen this thread earlier!!

From what I can tell, all the orders are custom prints because of the variations they offer on their website. In other words, I think they make them as they are ordered.
Did you visit their website before e-mailing them? Price and ordering details are on this link:
http://www.speedhut.com/custom_gauge_dial_description-auto-Datsun-auto_number-480.htm
Fast turn-around on these too!
thanks!
i just ordered mine last night... i ordered the reverse el glow for my set up. I couldnt find the custom mudule where you design, but i spoke with a rep and she sent me the link finding them... They should be here in about 3 days. My dash is out of the car... hopefully that makes it easier to install.
-
i'm sorry if this is a stupid question... Does Speedhut offer these gauge replacements in stock or are they a custom order? and how much did it run you?
i tried emailing them but no response yet?

i will post some pics of my install for sure... i will get them to you in the morning!

hi you doing man, you still selling these bumpers???
-
i just recently installed my rear hatch black dragon auto weatherstripping. The rear fit fine for me? i know the doors are the problem area for the car, i have to re-do mine.
-
70 or 71 exactly like mine!
-
will do... 97' kia sportage time to re do my install.... wish i would have know a little earlier... darn
-
good to know!^ thanks for that tip, i will look into pep boys weather stripping... too bad that the pep boys here closed down, will probably look online for these.
-
never knew that the the weatherstripping kit was too thick for our car... its kind of too late for me to remove it now... there's definately enough material to cut off, do you think it too risky, or should i just go and retrieve some different weather stripping material???
-
So I just got done finished doing my weatherstripping for my doors. Everything was going quite well until I tried close my doors? The issue now is that my doors do not align with the body of my car? It just doesn't sit flush. There is about a 1/2 gap from where it used to be. It seems that the weather stripping is too thick and it's pushing the door outwards, especially right by hinge area. The weather stripping kit is from BlackDragon Auto.
Can anybody help me please? should I just wait, and maybe the weatherstripping will compress? maybe cut some material off to fit better? If someone can help me or has any experience, it is greatly appreciated?
thanks in advance

hey 310z i live 30min down south from solvang, I'm in santa barbara, you from the 805 area? i've seen that orange z around here too.

^exactly.. thats why i went with leather. i say, just get two steering wheels of the same style but one suede and one leather. just switch off from daily and autox
-
merry christmas to you too!
The original steering wheels seems a little more deep than the OMP steering wheel. The hub adpater will add a few cm forward to the wheel, which i wanted, hopefully.
if you guys go with the leather, you will have no complaints
-
here's the photos of the OMP steering wheel i got yesterday. i can say that the leather is pretty darn nice.
-
nice... looks good!

they made me send just the two gauge faces that weren't working. they said they would repair them or just make some new ones for me. so far the customer service is great, just wished they would have sent me a good set to begin with.
