Old post. But I am the new guy so oh well.
The sunroofs I have seen they seem to upset the lines on the roof. If you could have one that is flush and followed the natural curvature of the roof, then no problem. I guess I can like them either way but my #1 preference, is no sunroof. 🙂

Ok. I would like a 4.11 R180 differential

Oh I just meant lower gears in the R180. 🙂

Is there any place that restores the fan box and heater core for a reasonable amount?
Thanks,
Joe

Hello, old add, but I’ll so anyway...... does the clock work? How about the amp gauge?

thanks,

I just ordered the JATCO shift kit from Tim in Australia. Thinking some lower gears in the rear may compliment that. Comments?

Great idea! Thanks 🙂

Well, some owner before this last one, took apart some of the dash. grrrrr! lost the glove box door and the clock....gee thanks!
Looks like I will take the dash out to restore it and clean things up. restore the ventilation system...up in the air over keeping this 1972 aftermarket A/C comments?
So, not much, but I am glad to have gotten one while I still can! I have a box full of stuff, like the radio face plate, horn button, etc.

Ok, so I bought it on eBay. 1972 Datsun 240Z Automatic. White with red interior.
I paid more than I wanted to, but sometimes to get the one that you really want, that happens.
Original paint, no accidents, just a tad bit of rust. Oh, and the interior is faded. I can't decide to keep it red or go black. I am afraid the vinyl paint will make it looks cheap and cheesy...too glossy, comments?
First order of business is tossing the sunroof and filling it in. I will discuss my plans for that shortly
Anyhow, I will post the eBay pics of it, and hopefully the transporter will get it to me unscathed!

Hello all.
My name is Joe. I live in Colorado Sprigns, Colorado.
I grew up on Datsun's. My brothers had Roadsters and 510's, my Dad had a Roadster in addition to a '76 280Z 2+2 he bought new. It ended up being mine for 7 years before he got it back, restored it, and kept it for many years before a family friend got it.
I sold my modified 1972 510 2-door. I worked on about 25 years ago. I screwed up more than I fixed....young and had to learn how to do things.
So, I just bought a 1972 240Z Automatic on eBay. It is enroute to me.
I am also a big Mustang fan. I have a 2001 Mustang GT I bought new that is a garage queen. It is Supercharged and etc. Real nice car. This is my "classic" to keep with it.
If I can be of any help I will. I appreciate in advance any help any of you can provide.
Thanks and God bless you.

I have tried high and low to find a link to order this shift kit for my 240Z Automatic.
NO LUCK.
If this product is still available, then PLEASE....tell me how I may get one?
I have never seen a product that is so hard to find.
