What am I looking for when it comes to the AFM? I do feel pulses so my fuel pump is probably ok?

So after I fixed the fuel injector my 83 zx has been getting progressively worse and is starting to worry me. I am 99% positive the fuel pump is bad. I am replacing it in the next week just to be sure. I also have the other problem. Is there any sensor that controls fuel flow at speed? Like depending on RPM, as in more RPM=more fuel to engine? Also what else could be causing general rough runnning? I have done so much and every time it runs good again then something else is going out... I ran out of ideas of parts to replace... One more... It has been getting hotter than usual for the past week or so. I had a leak in the overflow bottle and I just replaced it and there is no leak anymore but its still getting a bit hotter than usual. New part sense I bought it: Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, thermostat and gasket, radiator system flush, fuel injector, FPR, fuel dampener, tank sending unit, main fuel filter, fuel pump relay...

Where can I get one? Is it one-off?

I didn't ask about mounts because I read the you can use all the stock motor and tranny mounts to bolt inn an RB motor.

So now that I replaced the bad fuel injector I have a sputtering between 2500 and 3000 RPM, all gears, only when the temp gauge goes over half. There isn't a huge loss of power but its noticeable. I have been looking for vacuum leaks but I cant find any. I think maybe my fuel pump is going out but would that cause this between specific RPM?

So I just got my new fuel injector in the mail via MSA, I am wondering what I should do when installing it like cleaner, lube, sealant... I have the injector and the two gaskets but does it need more? I couldn't find anything in the FSM and I searched here but didn't find anything. I was about to go drop it in and see if the z runs better but I thought I had better ask.

I don't have a compression tester or them money to get one... It doesn't smoke. If you read my original post it says its missing.

It sounds like its missing. I pulled the plugs and one has oil on it. Which is more likely, valve seal or piston rings?

I have been searching for days and so far I have come up with some info that wasn't quite clear. When swapping an RB20DET into a 280zx you can use RB20 engine mounts by grinding off the locating tabs, also you can use a tranny mount from an auto 280zx? Also I need a RB20 rear sump oil pan? What do I do about oil pickup? Can I use the stock ZX radiator, maybe remove the RB engine fan to run hoses over? Other than that its a matter of plugging in hoses and wires?

Money is the issue. I just want a daily driver nothing fancy. What did you have to do with your speedo cable to make it work?

How much money do these swaps usually run? Does the stock RB harness plug into Z gauges?

I don't know what is required for everything but there isn't anything for my spare tire panel and I need everything for the drivers side rear panel, quarter window panels, headliner rear panel, and interior tail light panel. Also need the tan interior tail light panel and panel on inside of hatch covering the wiper motor if you have them...

I did some searching and I haven't seen any 350Z seats in a 280zx. Has anyone done it? I'm sure they fit because they fit in 240-280z's, but is the bracket close or the same as 280zx stock to mount them up, or will I have to do some welding like putting them in a 280z?

What if I were to get the correct aftermarket LSD form say power brute, would that just be a quick swap out or would things need to be customized?

Ok, so I have an 83 zx and I want a LSD in it. I found a used VLSD in a r200 shortnose housing from a 91 300zx. Can I swap diffs out between these housings and keep my spider gears and everything from my 280zx housing?

So, I don't have a grill yet. What I want is like a one piece chrome surround for the opening where the grill goes. If they don't make anything like that how hard would it be to make one? Something that will completely replace the grill and bolt into its original mount holes.
