  1. Thanks Shady, I will let you know if my stuff sells. In the meantime I am looking to trade locally so shipping won't be a problem.
  2. http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/pts/1500765393.html My Holley 750 won't stop flooding (which I found out they are famous for) and I have tried all of the remedies. New seats floats etc... I did my research and worked with it for two days...and after two engine fires I am done with it. I just want to switch to Edelbrock carburetor. I have a ton of Datsun stuff for trade and even some SBC stuff that you could sell for way more than the carb, if you help me out.
  3. WoW! Looks very nice...I am so happy to see her getting the treatment she deserves. Have a safe trip
  4. Well, after much research and discussion with those who know about what I plan on doing with my engine I have decided to do this one step at a time rather than all at once. Tonight I put my new intake and Holley 750 on. I will install my cam once I get heavier springs. I can tell you this about the stock crap that was on my truck...the intake had a bunch of loose bolts and all of the fittings were not tight either. It is a wonder it even ran! I fixed that though. I will not be able to test this new stuff out untill I get a new water fitting that runs from the intake to the heater core. Here are the obligatory pics of the swap! So it begins,,,, Now that feels better already! Damn that thing is heavy!! All finished for tonight...I can't wait to start her up tomorrow!
  5. This is what is going on the 350. This is a Comp Cams 270H with a 112 LSA and 4/7 swap. I can't wait to get this in.
  6. Here is how the engine looks now....kinda ugly. I will take pictures of the "after" I make my changes so you have a comparison. Before...
  7. hey, So did you look at the intake yet? definitely keep me informed.. and what was the z car club (previously z's of the rustbelt.. I remember you saying it was a .org... but can't find it

  8. Chey loves that movie too.... Especially when Paul pulls his super dance moves while puting a sbc together.
  9. It happened to me a couple of times too. I just threatened my computer with a huge magnet and she stepped right in line. This error is intermittent so it is hard to determine what is causing it on the user end.
  10. What are you talking about?? I am driving a V8 Z right now...it just happens to have a 1972 Chevy C20 body on it. It's all about vision http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=156380 You guys!! My stomach hurts from laughing so hard.
  11. Well, I did what I said and picked up an older Chevy truck after I sold my 240z. I just got it home this morning. I now have a 1972 Chevy C20 3/4 ton Camper Special. I paid $600.00 for this beast. She needs a few things but there is very little in the way of rust and I just happen to have an extra 350 sbc to throw in once it is re done. I have not had time to look every little thing over...but the truck has a 350 and I am not sure if it has the TH350 or TH400 since it is a 3/4 ton. But it runs good, sounds good, and shifts nice. Ok...here are the pics. The obligatory extra parts. I can tow stuff now. Not the prettiest example of a classic Chevy truck...but very functional and workable. I picked this up! Edelbrock Performer intake. Got me some double hump 461 heads. The ZZ4 is coming together. I got me a 650 Holley on the cheap and a 1" spacer. Got everything mounted up on the Performer intake and ready for Saturday when I put all this on my truck.
  12. You always say that........ just because you peed on the dip stick. It has sort of had a special funk ever since. Yeah...that motor rocks! So be sure to let Skib know and I will help him haul it away with my truck.
  13. I am glad to anounce that the proud new owner of my 240z has joined the ranks here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=156341 Let the saga continue!!
  14. Sweet!! Welcome to the family! I can't wait to see what you do with her.
  15. Thanks for getting it back up.
  16. Check out my loot!! I now have a 5spd and R-200 set-up out of a 280z. Thanks Ron/Paul!! If my car don't sell I am going to swap this stuff in.
  17. I put steel plates behind the holes first. That is a must...I don't think the bondo would be able to support itself without it. My bondo work is still standing up...so you are on the right track. I would suggest welding the metal plate in. The front dam is an MSA I believe...not sure.
  18. I will see if I have one and get back to you tonight.
  19. I will have a set tonight. PM me if interested.
  20. I will have an opportunity to pay off some bills that have been hanging over our heads.
  21. Yeah, I had one person actually come out and test drive it. But he was not ready to take on a project like mine. I can understand that. I had another guy who was nice enough to at least call and say he changed his mind. The rest make arrangements and then just don't show up and won't return calls. I guess I need to stop whinning and be happy that I may not sell the car. I will have to get back to modifying the heck out of her. I can't wait to install what I have to put into my car after tomorrow.
