This 240Z was stored in a chicken coop since 1987
COZY Z COLE replied to LS1240Z's topic in 6 Cylinder Z Forums
After reading this thread and veiwing the pictures I am almost at a loss for words. I ride both sides of the Z fence....hybrid/purist. I'm currently restoring a 72 240Z to stock and already have invested $$$$ with more to go. To see the condition of this car when he first saw it is a dream come true for many. Now all I can do is be !! LARRY -
....... I needed that after reading what is happening to the 73 240Z in exc. condition found in the chicken coop. LARRY

LOL ....... Listen, after reading the drivetrain forum threads as to what is a R-200 or a R-230 and what came with which car I had myself believing that my car had mice running in a circle turning my wheels. Therefore I was ready to bring the whole car home from the J/Y. Instead of my planned change to 8lbs boost, I may go to 10lbs. Time for some more SPANKING!!!!!!!! LARRY

My buddy called and said that they had just put out a roll over 91 300ZXTT and was there anything on it I wanted? I went right out and it had no engine or trans but look what I got for $150... I took it all but don't at this time know what I'll keep. LARRY

Almost all Z drivers from the 240Z to the 300ZX will wave back when you meet them on the road. The exception is the 350Z drivers in my experence!! I've had enough. Today I was cruising down Airbase Pky. that goes between I-80 and TRAVIS AFB. This is my favorite spanking route. A 350Z was following me for awhile and then came along side me. I gave him a wave and he just glanced at me with no response and then floored it. With cars in front of me there was no action to take but wait and fume!!!! We finally both came to a red light side by side and when it turned green, although he tried for it not to happen, I gave him a good SPANKING. What's up with these 350Z owners???? BTW his lic. plate was RACERZ. LARRY

MSA Type 3 Airdam, H-4 HD Lights, and Clear Cover Pic.

Thanks for the comments. This is a rear shot showing our method of mounting the turn signal/driving lights. I didn't like the bracket supplied and using this lets the lights appear to be floating in air. The upper grill I didn't changed from org. and the grill in the air dam is stainless steel mesh painted black. LARRY -

On a tour of Alaska, the Pope took a couple of days off to do some sightseeing. He was cruising along a road in the Pope-mobile when there was a frantic commotion just at the edge of the woods. A helpless man with gold earrings and wearing sandals, Hawaiian shorts, a save-the-whales tee shirt and a tree-hugger hat. He was struggling frantically, thrashing around trying to free himself from the jaws of a 10 foot grizzly. As the pope watched horrified, a group of loggers came racing up. One ran up and quickly fired a 44 mag into the bear's chest. The other two reached out and pulled the bleeding semiconscious man from the bear. Then using long clubs, the three loggers beat the bear to death and hauled it to their truck. Immediately the Pope shouted and summoned them to come over. "I give you my blessing for your brave actions!" he told them. "I heard that there was bitter hatred between loggers and environmental activists. But now I have seen with my own eyes that this is not true." As the Pope drove off, one logger asked his buddies, "Who was that?" "It was the Pope," one replied. "He is in direct contact and has access to all of God's wisdom." "Well," the logger said, "he may have access to God's wisdom, but he sure doesn't know anything about bear hunting. By the way, is the bait holding up okay, or do we need to go back to San Francisco and grab another one?" LARRY

SON SAYS: Daddy, how was I born? DAD SAYS: Ah, well, my son, one day you will need to find out anyway! Mom and Dad got together in a chat room on MSN. Dad set up a date via e-mail with your mom and we met at a cyber cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, and then your mother downloaded from dad's memory stick. As soon as dad was ready for an upload, it was discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall. Since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later the blessed little virus appeared. And that's the story. :malebitchslap: LARRY

Downsides to a sunroof?
COZY Z COLE replied to titanium's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I have a 80 280ZX with a dealer installed sunroof. Replced the headliner last year and during the winter rainy season it started to leak. I didn't notice this until it had ruined the new liner because I hardly ever drive it anymore :flamedevil: New seals are $$$$ and hard to find because none of the places that installed them in the 80's are around anymore. Also the latching replacement can be a pain to make or get. Think twice before buying an older car with one. LARRY -

If you have looked at this, sorry, but the SE-R FAQ, in the erratic idle and jumping idle, mentions your error code and gives some things to check. http://www.se-r.net/faq/index.html On the left column click the search the FAQ and then enter, error code 45. Click on the first item found and this is under common problems. LARRY

Does anyone find it amazing that the US government can track a cow born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington? And then they can track her calves to their stalls in every state in the country and ultimately track their meat to each and every packing plant? But they are unable to locate 11 Million illegal aliens wandering around the country???? The solution is to give every illegal alien a cow!!! LARRY

As if life isn't confusing enough already!!! To all my friends who have sons . . . and those who don't . Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of Tampax and proceeded to the checkout counter The man at the counter asked the older boy, "Son, how old are you?" Eight," the boy replied. The man continued, "Do you know how these are used?" The boy replied, "Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They are for him. He's my brother. He's four. We saw on TV that if you use these you would be able to swim and ride a bike. He can't do either one." LARRY

Just a comment on my exp. with examining many Z cars 1970 thru 74. DATSUN at times used up old inventory during mid-year model changes and you may have those parts on your car that are different then someone elses same model year. LARRY

Let's see if this helps. Although the 82 280ZX that we were working on at my place left last week this is how my 80 280ZX alt. is wired. Looking from the top of the alt. in the engine bay the smaller white wire and a blue wire are in a connector that goes on the alt. THE blue wire goes to the instrument panel. The white wire goes to the condenser. Under this is a post for the larger white wire that goes to the fuseable link and then to the batt. The larger white also connects to the ignition relay. On the alt. across from these wires is a post for the black wire to ground. On the rear cover of the alt. the terminals are marked......S- the smaller dia. white wire, L....the blue wire,....BAT. ..the larger dia. white wire......E.. the black to ground wire. LARRY
