  1. I'm pretty sure you'll have to drill and tap the heads for a TPI setup. My pops just drilled and tapped an LT1 for a victor jr and holley 780dp. Should be the same. Also make sure you get a matching cam for the TPI. Stock TPI has problems breathing past about 4500 rpms. If you looking for a low end torque monster, TPI with a matched cam can't be beat. Just plan to shift early. Phyte
  2. You sound like your ready for TX! Come on down! Not much room for bleeding heart liberals here. Phyte
  3. And if you think I'm lying about the hottest women, then why don't you just cruise on over to this site and look at the list at the bottom http://www.playboy.com/on-campus/features/topten/ :D Check out http://www.texasracingscene.com/ for the racing scene, although it seems to be down right now. Phyte
  4. Didn't you just get to TX like 3 days ago? How can you possible say TX sucks in 3 days. You say your friends rock, your place rocks, gas rocks. Whats to suck then? TX is home of the hottest women and the fastest cars. Everything is better in TX You won't find nicer people anywhere! Phyte
  5. I think you found the secret. My wife looks at everything in $$, but if I tell her I'm just trying to make a fast, reliable, show quality car maybe she'll take it easy on me I'm not going to be able to make the 24th I'm flying to florida to drive the wife and kids back. Have a great time! I want to see some mid 12 second passes from you! Phyte
  6. Hey good looking car man. Are you happy with the wheels? Why are they 1/2 the price of other comparable 17's? Phyte
  7. Bill, the link you posted above is dead. I knew I'd have to go with the 200 rearend, and the F.I. fuel tank, and you convinced me on saturday to go with the 280z for my application. Ya, TX got whooped. Jason
  8. I'd like to see some pics of 70-78 Z's with this wheel. Thanks Here Phyte
  9. Your damn right I had goose bumps! That was a fun ride. Fastest I've ever been was my old 69 firebird at 12.2. Bill's Z pulled much harder up top thanks to the LS1. If you can get that thing to hook, and get through the gears clean I think you have a high 11 second car there. Phyte
  10. Any information on this car? I'd like to see more pics and read up on it. http://www.just4kids.org/jason/1453Picture010.jpg Phyte
  11. I've looked through the classified sections here on hydridz, classiczcars, and collectorcartrader.com but can't find any 240z's within 500 miles. I've been burnt on flying out of state to look at a car before, and I'm not going to waste more money on misrepresented cars. I need to find a decent starter 240 in TX! Phyte
  12. I called the tax accessor again and they said stay far away! You mentioned Z's for sale in Houston? Can you get some information for me? I've been looking everywhere for 240's in TX, but can't find any! I've tried the forsale forum here and classiczcar. Also collectorcartrader.com. Where else can I look? Phyte
  13. Hey welcome to Texas man. Anyone else in Austin? Mike, any pics of your car? Phyte
  14. Problem is, he doesn't actually have the title. Apparently he has all the paper work to get the title though. I don't know about this. Phyte
  15. haha, no. It was a combination of things. Slim fast, and riding my bike 10 miles a night. I bought a trailor for my bike and pull my two sons behind me. Nothing like adding an extra 100 pounds for resistance I've always been able to loose weight quickly. I'm going for 230. Phyte
  16. I found a decent Z, but the person that has it never transferred the title into his name. He says he has all the docs to get the title from Oregan including a bill of sale to him. I called the TX dept of trans and they told me he can't legally sale the car because its not registered in his name. Is there an easy way of getting the title in my name, or will he have to get it in his name first, then sale it to me. I'm sure he won't do that because he'll have to pay taxes on it like he should of in the first place. Options, thoughts? Phyte
  17. 3 months ago I was 320, but now I'm 250. I got tired of being a fat boy I could of been "BigPhyteDude" too Phyte
  18. These are the responses I was hoping for. I'm 6'4 250, but those pounds are dropping fast. The one I found in AZ is in tucson. I'm waiting on some information on it. If it is in good of condition as the pictures tell, then I'll be flying out and driving it home. Oh the fun begins. Phyte
  19. Hey gents. I'm a newb to the Z world, and before I buy one I'd like to know how comfortable they are for 6'4" guys? I can't find any around Austin TX, but I have found one in Tucson AZ. Before I spend $300 on a plane ticket I need to know if I'll fit "ok" in a 73 240z. I plan on a complete rebuild including interior, so if there's different seats that allow for more room keep that in mind for me. Thanks!! Phyte
