  1. I'm fixing to join the jack stand racing team I'm putting her up on the stands and am going to tear down. What are these wheels with tires worth? Tires are cheap continental, but have good tread left. The passenger side wheels have centercaps also. Just looking for a rough estimate on what to ask for them. Phyte
  2. Drill press + tap/die set = carbed LT1 This is the second carbed LT1 motor that my dad has built. The first one is in my moms 56 chevy. Phyte
  3. Ok guys I'm fixing to order the wheels. I need to know what spacer I need and will it work? I don't want to spend $400 and find out that they won't work! Would a 1/2 spacer or 3/4 spacer be ideal. I think the 3/4 would get me really close to 0mm offset right? These wheels are discontinued so I have to order them now if I want them! Phyte
  4. I'm trying to buy a set of ronal wheels that are no longer in production. The wheels are 16x7.5 with a 19mm offset 4x114.3 pattern. The 19mm offset is too much for a stock 260z lowered an inch? Phyte
  5. I've got an early 260z and I know its not the right gas tank for an F.I. car. Thing is the previous owner swappen in a L28 from a 78 280z. The tank looks like it was replaced. It has an electric fuel pump just in front of the tank. This leads me to believe its the right one for an LT1 setup? Didn't the stock on that came with my early 260 have a mechanical setup? Are there any numbers I can look for? Phyte
  6. The R200 will hold up fine' date=' it's the shafts that you have to worry about. BTW, Grumpy does offer some good advice, I think he has made a few engines in his time too [/quote'] Oh I know all about grumpy. How can you not know him from lurking these forums. He's a one smart cookie He was recommending cams for high hp race engines. In my first post I said it will be my daily driver Phyte
  7. I certainly don't want to get into a T-5 then break it. I want to build it strong from the beginning. The trans is an M-21. I think with a 3.5 r200 it will be just fine on the street and on the highway. Besides both the M-21 and M-20's 4th gears are 1.00. Just 1-3 is different. I'm getting the trans cheap. I'll put it in and drive it for a year. If I don't like it I'll sell it and put a T-56 in it. As far as driving its just going to be daily driven to my job. I'll rarely take it on trips, because with two kids thats what our minivan is for! Phyte
  8. My pop's got a shop up in KS. He's building me a full LT1 with ZZ4 cam for either $632 without intake and carb, or $917 with a performer rpm intake and holley 750. This is a ready to drop in engine. He's firing it up on the test stand next weekend. My question is, should I try to score an LT1 intake and computer off ebay, or just go with the carb setup. I'd like to run F.I., but the costs would be a lot more. What would you do? With the ZZ4 cam the dyno numbers were 398hp@5000 rpm and 453lb/torque@3500. A CC306 cam netted 419hp@6000 rpm and but only 410lb/torque@4500 rpm. I'll take the 43lb's of tq over the 20hp anyday. Sure it doesn't rev as high, but thats ok with me. What to do. Phyte
  9. Would it fit with the JTR setup? I've searched, and some said you'd have to mod the trans tunnel, and others said it would bolt up. I know about the hydrolic throw out and all that, I just need to know if it will fit or not. Yes I know I won't have OD, but thats not a problem. T-5's are just too weak, and T-56's are just too expensive I had a 76 stingray with a muncie tranny and the driveability was just find. Phyte
  10. Only corvettes came with aluminum heads. Does it have aluminum heads? Phyte

  13. nothing works yet, but this is my companies new look. What do you think? I just got done programming the homepage. http://staging.sitesfor.com/ current/old website here: http://www.sitesfor.com/ BTW you can earn $100 cash if you know a auto dealer and have them sign up with us for a year. A great op for earning money for Z parts! Phyte
  14. Damn, I've got a 180. Guess I'll start looking for a 200. Phyte
  15. Is there anyway other then tearing it apart and measuring the ring gear to tell if I've got a 200 or 180? Surely its marked on the outside of the carrier? I've got a 74 260z which had a 180 stock I know, but the guy I bought it from had the engine and trans swapped from a 280z, and he had no clue if they also swapped the rearend. I'll be very happy if they swapped the r200 from the 78! Phyte
  16. I think the cameraman didn't make it. Phyte
