  1. Cool Z project you got there.....very nice.
  2. The compressor maps of a .70A/R with .81A/R shows that are more efficient. With this you will have more volume of air so you may need to adjust your air/fuel mixture to an optimum setting. Also you will gain extra power.***Guaynabo***
  3. A .70A/R compressor side(front) will work better.
  4. Hi friend, my question is..... are you planning to use a TO4E turbocharger or a T3/TO4 turbocharger?
  5. I will drop in the 1992 VG30 engine. You can use the Z32TT pistons and rods and find it cheap looking around. If money is not a problem get good set of rods and forged pistons, get ARP head and main studs, good head gaskets and good luck in your way to the 400HP your looking for.
  6. I am with the guys too, it looks like a bad voltage regulator.
  7. I will get the engine running in the 83 and check that everything is working properly with the engine and then make the swap to the 78, good luck with the project.
  8. Keep the good work. I hope you get your goal of 450HP. Nice!!!
  9. I hope you find that VG engine you looking for, good luck.
  10. Great project you got there. Keep the good work.
  11. Good to hear that the problem is solved. Good luck.
  12. Very good car you got there, good luck.
  13. On my personal opinion I will forget about the supercharger issue and go the turbo way. But in your case I belive you want to use the supercharger set up, I recommend you to buy a cowl carbon fiber hood if you can. Is easier to find those for the Z31 1984-1986. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
  14. Here`s my friend Z31 checking out his rear independent suspension. This is a 9 sec.street friendly car, and we never expect the car to lift the front tires so much,JEJE.
  15. I heard a guy, that told me, they got a couple of pairs in a junk yard of Chevy Lumina springs and weld them together in pairs an then cut them to the correct height and fit and they eliminate the camber issue. I never see that my self so I can tell you if that was true or false, but some other guys claim that he wasnt lying and his car was doing 1.58 in the 60 feet without camber issues.
  16. Maybe it works with a VG30 or VG33. I try different combinations with different turbo size and models of turbo trims, but my favorite is the T-66 turbos or equivalent turbo in ball bearings with a P.81 on the exhaust. With port & polish heads with valve angle jobs or Ferrea 1.0mm bigger valves, a good set of cams, custom intake manifold with a big throttle , stand alone engine management and etc, and with the turbo I talk you about, you will be able to reach more than 550rwhp and its no joke.
  17. Well my friend I really dont know how that turbo is going to work on the VG30, but I am using a T-66 with P .81A/R in the exhaust in my current engine and works perfect. I am going to use something bigger in my other engine, but I dont think I use something as big as 1.0 exhaust A/R. I wish you good luck with your project.
  18. I will sell it to someone that really take care of the car, thats in my opinion. But you also need the money to finish your other project, so I know its a hard decision to make. I wish you luck in this one my friend. If you are sure the guy is a car killer, tell him to buy something else, like a pick-up truck or a big Olds.
  19. I have some friends that use the N/A engine and put a single turbo set up with custom exhaust header manifolds. Eventually they buy some forged pistons and rods. Also a front mount intercooler, a Z32 turbo,Walbro or Bosch fuel pump, 550cc injectors, etc. That depends on how much you are willing to spend. You have different choices. Anyway, good luck with your project.
  20. On 4 forums only and active on 3 of them.
  21. Hi my friend. I just check with the man himself and this is what I found out: He runs 8.70 in the 1/4 mile with the VG30ET. Later he puts in a VG30DETT but with a single turbo set up and runs 8.04@170mph in the 1/4 mile. Then he adjust a little further his Haltech program running a best of 7.82 in the 1/4 mile.
  22. Hi my friend. Right now we have a VG33 engine block in the engine stand. We are planning to start working with the engine maybe in august because I need to finish my other engine first and also my brother in law RB engine, so I got a lot of work to do, so lets see what happens. Thanks for asking.
