What i did was just crush the cap on the CV shaft. I did'nt cut the spring. Hope it all works well.

I have a 72 240 and am attempting the 280 ZXT CV conversion. I had my companion flanges modified by Modern Motorsport. I installed the modified companion flange on the stub axle and now the base cap on the CV axle hits the stub axle/nut when I mate them together. The depth from the mounting surface of the adapter to the stub axle/nut is 5/8 inch. The length if the nipple on the base cap of the CV axle is 7/8 inch. Therefore I cannot seat the CV in the adapter. Please help.

I need some help fellas. I have a 72 240. Im changing to the 280zxt CV shafts. I got the 240 companion flanges done by Modern Motorsport. Now the base cap of the CV shaft hits the the stub axle inside the adapter. Am i missing something What to do? Please help?

Uncle, I have been searching the site for basic installation instructions for the 280zxt half shafts with the Motorsport flanges on a 72 240z. Please, can someone point me in the right direction.

Ok guys, I think I know what everyone is talking about. I sent the cash and the companion flanges over 3 weeks ago and I cannot get any feedback. Is there anyone else (reliable) that can make the adapters for the 280zxt CV's. Am I being too impatient?

How did you guys widen the tunnel. Im putting in a 700r4. The manual says use a hammer. I cant seem to get the tunnel wide enough and now the buckle is on the bottom so I cant get the mount to sit flush on the floor. Suggestions please?

Im wondering the same thing. Im doing a V8 swap in a 240 and just got a fuel tank. I dont need the return line so in gonna cap it, but what about the rest? Does anyone have any help for me?

Im getting started on my ZZ4/240 conversion collecting all the parts. Im gonna use the Holley 750 and have'nt decided on the intake manifold. I dont want to cut the hood. Is there a special intake manifold to use or will most fit?

i have a stock zz4. what mods should i do to burn rubber @ 60mph. my plan is to put it in a 1972 240z with a 700r4. My other question is what drive line or axle upgrades are required. Installation seems not to be too complicated with not too much fabrication but before i jump in I want to know what im getting into. In other words i dont want to step on the gas and everything else in the car breaks
