Happybday I turn 18 in about 4 weeks. And my Z turns 28 years old in 4 weeks aswell. Hows that, my z has its birthday around the same time as mine.

far out, wish i could score deals on Z's like that in australia. all the people over here want about $5000 bucks (thats about $9000 your cash) for a rusted 280zx!

Continuing the post from the other thread. Yea, i got a bit of cash atm. But the main thing i'm thinkin of is the long run costs, for instance. If I got triple webber carbies how much fuel would I chew (seeing that my car chews heaps as it is) and also would I be under insurance. The car had some little mods done to it before I got it, well before my parents owned it. I've grown up with this car. Think we've had it since I was about 5. But the people who previously owned it put a lumpier cam and extractors on it. Other than that nothing different. Shay where from in brisbane? I'm around the Wacol area, altho u probably don't know that place heh.

heh, i know this is bringing up an old thread but who cares anyway. I'm 17 now, I own a 260z 2+2. Its my first car, I learnt to drive in it and I don't intend on getting rid of it. And I love it how, when I speak to people about my car and I would say its a Datsun, they would laugh at me etc. Then I would mention its a Z and their whole opinion changes, yea man thats an awsome car. Well if they don't know what a Z is I show them a pic and their mind changes quick smart. I also find when i'm driving around, that alot of people turn and look. Some people even speak to me in the car park about it. But the funny thing is, the car is stock standard but its had its rust removed and its been resprayed and new carpet layed in it. Not even done up yet (hehe and I mean yet, cause very soon. I say within a month I will start gettin new mags etc) Yea, I do get sick of seeing the same car around. I've come to these forums recently and I've looked at alot of other people's Z's and thought they all look awsome, and I can't get sick of Z's.

hahah thats awsome! should get one for my r/c car. I shouldn't have spent to much money on the little thing. I'd love the power to weight ratio of those little things in my car.

Hello all, I seem to be having problems with my 260z. When I accelerate hard, the car jumps. It would accelerate hard, then all of a sudden cut off power for a split second then power on again (this keep continuing if i keep accelerating). This usually happens around 3000 to 4000 revs in first and second gear. I have replaced the spark plugs, spark plug leads and fuel filter. I also don't have any points so that can't be my problem either. Any susggestions? Thanks akeizm.
