  1. Badda Bing thats it. It must have had to fall threw the return then. No other logical reason to see it under the skirt up buy the pin. Crazy. Judging buy this people really need to check there stock turbo's to make sure this does not happen. Wiped out 3 shells.
  2. Could be but man it finding its way threw the intake threw a valve and past the piston into the sump?????? thats alot of what if's. I say that cause there is not internal damage that i can see out side of the bearing shells. Wanted to see if someone recognized it or if it was just fodder dropped down the oil fill.
  3. its not big enough...only the size of half a dime.
  4. While i was removing pistons from a donor turbo motor i found this little bugger inside the skirt area near the pin. WTF is it UFO something from the motor. Does not look like anything related to a L series. Two bearings are chewed pretty bad. Crazy thing is this motor was running. Blown HG but it ran and did not knock. Pistons appear to be good as these are the ones i am sliding into my block later tonight. Ideas on this strange bugger. Appears to be brass. The rest appears to have made its way threw two rod bearings at least.
  5. Apparently everything i say comes off Hostile and rude...

  6. with 36 or 39 of them in the world i am sure they will find one at 7-11 dave :)I saw two today at Sam's club lol.
  7. just amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1jMO52qpGg&feature=related
  8. At first i thought it might be real but after all the evidence to light there is no way. I posted on there we dont need a engine shot a under body shot will suffice from the floor pans to hey the oil pan and we will know. I mean a 250gto sells for 6-10 million how much would a body be....2 1.5million alone. Then lets figure in a crashed 365? Then labor to do the swap? I think this guy has been living around artards for so long he tells them 365 because hey...some of the lines match a s30. When in fact if the dude was just like hey check out my 30,000 replica people would still like it. I love 250 gtos clones and all.

I saw one of these in Aberdeen MD as a child. Truly a site to see. Correct me if i am wrong but where these not used in a lot of Cold war activities? Ie. Soviet spying?
  10. They make fiberglass front fenders but rear quarters......i was unaware. More likely fiberglass fronts. Does not look bad.
  11. Change your filter. Make sure firing order is right 15-36-24. Adjust su's to 1.5 turns out from seated on nozzle. Check timing set if needed. Pull plugs replace with br6es or what ever the factory plug is.
  12. How come all i can think of is the batmobile. Interesting theory.
  13. Draw through frank. Carb mounts on inlet of turbo. Draws fuel, mixes in turbine. Has a special carbon seal in chra if i remember that is nla.
  14. Guess i need to stare more lol. I see the rocker area on the real deal is higher than on a z as well. Regardless the the 250 gto has to be the sexiest car ever made......that and the 2000gt
  15. Some of the very early 250 gto conversion where in fact done on the 250gte saloon. I highly doubt this is a Zed. Z's where not the only car with vertical defroster lines etc. My buddy had a miura that smelled like raw gas every time he shifted. Bear in mind here back then no one cared about fume smells. These where purpose built road racers. My 67 124 spyder had a locking column.....let you guys fill in the blank on that one..!
  16. No advice on the actual repair from me but.....Stop driving it in the rain. Why do people drive these in the rain? There has to be less than 1% here that need to drive these for dd duty.
  17. Holy balls with a cable it was like this for me as well. no pedal effort plus t04e equals what control.
  18. Motor is out and on stand stripped to bare block. Awaiting funds for a flex hone. Or if someone on here has one......hint hint. Yes pics please. Paln was to either get new bearings for the crank or re use the ones from the donor block. I would use the crank in there but i think it might be fubar...that and i twacked a counter weight on accident when removing a piston. took a little tiny piece out of it. So i dunno if that will matter or not.
  19. i am just trying to pull 5,000 miles out of one. May not seem like much, but for me thats two seasons of abuse.
  20. Yeah i saw that man. I spiked at 18psi. It was not a fuel issue. I have my timing locked in with a standard zx dizzy at 18 deg. I think it was just to much timing for the flat tops. Plus i had been having a oil burning issue on 5 and 6 all ready. I think some of my ring lands where cracked all ready. When it spiked all of them went i think. Hey the car still ran made boost and blew oil all over Plan is to clean up my block and drop the rotating mass from the turbo motor over to my block. I always hate screwing with cranks though. Any special removal install things i need to be aware of?
  21. Indeed the book blah blah...but there is more info to be had from people here than tom. We all wanna do things right the first time blah blah. Sometimes a sweeper motor is needed and its nice to know what can be cheated and what cant. In situations like this for example. A JY motor is being used or a used motor non the less. So its nice to know what can be gotten away with. But the book is on its way here for the do it right method.
  22. Well without cigarettes its been rough man. Quit smoking saves money dentist bill goes up from the dew. Here is the number 1 slug with the deformed rod. Ringland broke in 9 spots and skirt well uh yeah........
