  1. I see a new user-name soon. Lol can my sub name be changed to Hybrid Storm Trooper. ACTUNG Maybe some of us should be Hybrid Z Wehrmacht
  2. Tony who do you speak of...lol I have more time and hair pulling in getting my carbs perfect........per the day. Meaning mine are changing daily if i get lucky i can drive a week without major changes. I have now put jets correctors and e tubes in my glove box for when i drive long distances. Over the winter i will be going efi via my webers or mikuni's Is blow through fun sure sure. But when you drive for fun and drive daily for fun its a bear. I am also putting down way more HP than originally planned and am getting ready to loose a clutch due to the power. AS tony said to me. Ready to spend 1,400 on a clutch setup to hold it.
  3. I have always wanted to know what the second port closest to the rod is for on twin port internal gate setups. Please fill me in as i have one and have no clue what its supposed to do. Its vented now.
  4. Yes pictures and ......more pictures. I gotta rip my drivers side out next week. Sucks freshly painted car so i am gonna need to be extra careful of everything.

  7. The history behind the first one being made in a parking lot is just outstanding.
  8. Lots better looking than that hideous zx on the bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PRIMADONNA-Z-2-3-JACK-ATKINSON-UNBELIEVABLE-FLA-/230470977911?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item35a9240977
  9. Love the red sprite at the end and the blue Rx3
  10. Echo fresh build theory. i would to be safe send some oil to blackstone to get a base reading. I send my oil in 3 times a year on all my vehicles to blackstone. they give you a readout of everything that not oil that's in your oil.
  11. Sure sure but there is not tons of money in it. Daves product line is niche too. The best of course, but you only have so much of a target market. I think alot of the old heads are in there twilight and realize the money is always and always will be in the whats hot now market. R&D is still going for the L on the mainland. Here its all but dead. Its all about the greatest force in the universe now....or thats where the money is for the aftermarket now. Can you say Honduh.
  12. The pure fact of what is still available or advertised in America goes like this. US moves on bigger better badder fatter etc.....it is not worth while for alot of companies to offer or advertise parts for a niche market. Would you have a business devoted to a L series motor in the us or rather offer parts for all the latest and greatest cars. I know i would offer parts for a 2010+ Camaro or whatever the latest ricer car is. Gotta go where the money is. We are a niche market. The L gata on the mainland is not.
  13. God damn those cyberdyne people.....I blame Miles Dyson.
  14. 73 240z L28 5 speed. Triple weber 40's Blow through turbo. Mid teens at 65. 2-4mpg on boost.
  15. Its like Kurt Russle......Escape from L.A
  16. ahh the joy's of living in a 1,000 people or less town. With upstanding people.......move away from where you live. Or pull the rotor. Living on a block with 2 state cops and a county has its perks.
  17. Bumpers are prob 75lbs themselves.
  18. Agreed on safety measures. I would not do it unless i had a full body setup and a booth. It can really kill you. FAST. You see what it does when it dries. Imagine that in your lungs.
  19. It was the 80's need i say more....
  20. Oh boy... 6g72 comes to mind. Water pump driven off T-Belt. Cooling cross over from drivers to passenger side thats buried under the intake that has leaky o-rings. Must remove upper intake to change rear bank plugs. Oil pickup that is 3/16ths from the bottom of the pan so if you even look at the pan wrong it will crush pickup and spin a bearing. Oil galleys in the block coupled with oil squirters that are grossly undersized. This list goes on and on with the 6g72. Lets not forget a 11 hour all data book time to change the T-belt. (takes me 7) Knock sensor buried in the same valley in the block under the cross over pipe. Dont even get me started on manual trans cars that use atf!!!!!
  21. Yeah it kinda looks like a rb plenum mounted to a triple carb setup.
