  1. Well my project is finally registered and legal, it weighs 1240kg with 620kg front and 620kg rear so 50-50 weight distribution. It has a CD00A 6 speed trans and R33 GTST brakes front and rear with working handbrake.
  2. 2 x short sleeve t-shirts XXXL Dark Heather 1 x Hoodie XXXL Dark Heather 2290 New South Wales, Australia. If you could let me know how much I can pay with Paypal? Rob
  3. Yes they are very neat indeed.
  4. Hi Guys, I am wondering if these are speaker enclosures above the rear strut towers? Has anyone seen them before or know where to get them? Rob
  5. I have changed my setup for the radiator , condenser and a smaller intercooler. I am keeping in mind what was worked out in the windtunnel tests, I have the opening the same area as the two fans on the shroud at the back, so air in = air out. All this sits behind the original radiator support.
  6. Here is page 2 The wiring diagram I found on a Russian site then translated it into English.
  7. Here is page 1 of VQ30det HY34 pinouts colour coded
  8. Here is the wiring diagram for VQ30det HY34
  9. Ok if you can't weld it then you would have to make a removable multi aspect bracket that conects to the frame rail, it could be triangular to fit like the bracket in the picture. The inner fender obviously doesn't give any strength but if your bracket comes up, the higher the better and is then triangulated down across to the other frame rail you would have enough strength. The higher the triangle the stronger it will be. If you think it will look dicky then tie it across the other way as well to look like a chassis brace that ties into other key spots like above sway bar mounts and upto strut towers. Sort of like a cross-X brace. Rob
  10. Does the steering work OK aside from the flexing of the mount? If it does then it would be a matter of fabricating an upright bracket that is joined to the frame rail and inner guard-fender as well as a diagonal brace across to the other frame rail on the passengers side. 11. It sounds great, thanks for posting the video. Have you driven it much yet? It seems relatively quite is that right? Congratulations on getting the first VQ30det S30 running!
  12. No, it just has a blue plastic protector on from new, it will come off when the car is ready.
  13. Hi Docaam, That looks really good, cant wait to hear how it goes, I like the dash as well. It has come together really well. Rob
  14. Some more progress, I am working on new plumbing after buying my new cross brace. Rob
  15. Maybe this as well. http://nissan.epcdata.ru/cedric_gloria/hy33/5885-vq30det/electric/240/#240B_001 http://www.gobookee.org/nissan-cedric-y33-wiring-diagram/ This person may know something? http://translate.google.com.au/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&u=http://forums.drom.ru/nissan-cedric-gloria-cima/t1151692857.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dcedric%2Bvq30det%2Bwiring%26start%3D60%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26channel%3Dfflb%26biw%3D1414%26bih%3D659 Rob
  16. Hello, welcome to the forum, I don't know if this is of any use but it shows some of the wiring for the VQ30det, there are some other parts of information that I will try to find for you, there isnt much on the net about VQ30det, but some Russian forums have some info. http://www.faqnissan.ru/faq/011/11182.html Rob
  17. Wow not good news..... I would find out what the cost is for the rebuild parts and then compare to cost of other motors, you will be better off with VQ30det in the end so you don't want to go trying another engine and it not be the performance you wanted. Just my opinion, I know you have put a lot into this swap and it is about overcoming problems.
  18. Hi Docaam, I don't know from personal experience if it will fit but I found this thread that may be of some use. http://forums.maxima.org/all-motor/364966-vq30-oil-pump-vq35.html Rob
  19. Hi Docaam, Thanks for the update, you are right some good and some not so good, I hope things are only small problems. I will be interested to see what it is. You certainly have been busy and your dash looks great! Thanks for posting the pics, I think I can work it out from those. I have had some wins this weekend, I found that at some point I had printed off an english version of the engine wiring that also tells wire colours, and that I had bought the wrong AFM, I bought a y33 AFM with a pink label and three pin plug but the HY34 VQ30det which is what we have has an AFM with a four pin plug. Anyway let us know how you get on. Rob
  20. Hi Docaam, You know I have thought the same thing about mine at times, but part of the game is over coming problems, you have overcome so many issues so far and only a few more to go so hang in there. I think once you do have it running you will be very happy with the performance and you will probably be the first one to complete this swap into an S30! Rob
  21. Hi Docaam, I sent an email to the person with the Bluebird but have had no reply and looking at it their's is an earlier VQ30det not a neo. I have a FSM for the HY34 VQ30det neo, but it is only in Japanese. I think that the consult connection is in the wiring under the dash on original car. Rob
  22. Docaam, The 910 Bluebird was a lightgreen metalic wagon, they didn't do the swap but bought it from the guy who did the swap. I will try to find them and make contact, I will let you know how I get on. Rob
  23. Hi Docaam, You are ahead of me as far as starting the motor, we started mine in the half-cut many years ago and I am working on getting mine close to starting again before converting the wiring. It started but wouldn't rev high we thought because it did not have a air flow meter when in the half cut. Is yours starting in what they call limp mode? Or not starting at all? Are you running a vapor canister?I didn't get one with my half cut. Is NATS to do with accelerator pedal issues like in a vq35de like in a 350Z? If so I didn't think our motors had that issue. It is a real shame that the forum VQ30det.com.au closed down as there were many threads about swapping these motors. Your dash sounds like it will be fantastic! If you don't have any luck with the non starting I can try to get into contact with a person with a vq30det in a 910 Bluebird here in Australia. I have attached a photo of my fuel lines, they are the three in a triple clip on the left side of the photo. Rob
  24. Hi Docaam, Just wondering if your VQ30det is a Neo? It looks like it to me, anyway I am back to working on mine and hooking everything back up to the engine but it looks like there are three fuel lines coming from the engine, does that sound the same as yours? I am wondering how I can work out why there are three and what each one is for? Did you work this kind of problem out? Cheers Rob
  25. Hi Docaam, I am intending to use the standard engine wiring and ecu but combine with the standard z wiring, I think I will look for a similar wiring setup for a rb25 that might be on this site. Your engine is looking very good, well done. Cheers Rob
