So my 3 year old daughter ask me what I'm listening to, so I put the headphones on her and play the vid. After a few seconds of listening she looks up and smiles and says "zoom zoom daddy, it's go fast". A future Hot Rodder in the making for sure. Maybe I should score another Z or two now, for the kids.

DAMINT!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I read this post this morning with great joy. Call the wife and fill her in on the great deal, we agree to talk about it when she gets home. After a little talk and some home finance math I get the green light on a tig welder. I go to the page, run through the order proccess and then....... "The following items are not available ." I think I'm going to go kill a bunny, or something cute and furry. Nice score Mike.

What chevy's used roller cams?

'86 and up I think used roller cams, maybe '88. I think it was the same time they went with one piece main seal. -
Whenever I watch a rally on the tube, I'm always shocked by the spectators. crowds of people at the corners of a road course made up of loose dirty or mud. Cars drifting by them at high rates of speed. I wonder what the spectator fatality rate has been over the years.

other than looks and possibly fit, I can't imagine these are any better than a ramshorn style exhaust manifold as far as performance goes. -

mas280, where did you source the r230 adapters?

Tim, do you know if these parts work on the r200 out of the 90ish 300zx N/A or r230 out of the 90ish 300zx turbo? I have the N/A diff and cv's (the 5 lug cv's) and it would be nice to just order up some shafts rather than do the hard work and have some made. Thanks.

one other thing to keep in mind is that tremec makes a retro fit t56 that was intended for installation in 3rd gen f-body cars. this trans is better choice for custom installs. I priced one a year ago or so, and I seem to remeber it being cheaper than going the salvage yard route (when you add up the cost of all the needed parts). http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/BorgWarner/bwt56.html

there are some tv ads running for the new Jags. the first few seconds has the camera panning over the grille which is a very nice stainless or chromed woven mesh. I'm hoping to source something like the jag grille for my 280.

It seems the "regular" people part is starting to wain. Lance Armstrong and Sheryl crow are not what I'd call regular people. They also did a build for one of the guys from 90210 a while back. The show looses it's "thing" when they do a build for someone that should be able to have a car built on their own. The guy with the Olds 442, that was a good build, as was the women with her fathers 64 vette.

They bolt on to the bumpers. I think I read somewhere that they were a dealer add on, not from the factory.

Ebay is a good place to look, it's hit or miss of course. There was a perfect 280 dash on ebay a week or two ago. I think it went for $400 ish. I have a perfect 240 dash, but that won't help you.
