thanks. your response was a real help.
everytime i email modern motorsports' date=' i never get a good response. since many of you guys use this kit, i figured this would be the best place to ask.[/quote']
Sorry, no offense was intended, just the most likely thing one would do without instructions.

Something in between perhaps? I don't want it to be overkill either, but it's always nice to be noticed when you have put so much time down in a car. But the most important thing is that the car looks GOOD! I want the best looking color!
A best looking color may be different from one person to the next! I believe you are the only one who can make the color decision.....any input will only be a suggestion or a personal favorite color. You the one who has to live with it! My suggestion is to stick with a solid color and not a metalic!

I've had a Hutchens Device for sale for a while now:
http://www.betamotorsports.com/products/hutchens.html
I bought a HANS device. Seems that most sanctioning bodies are moving towards the HANS over all the others. I paid $825 for mine.
Pretty cheap price to save ones neck....to bad Dale didn't believe in them.

Best laugh I've had this morning...."Now that was funny"!

Why don't you give the manufacture a call?
-
Life must be tuff! Video worked fine for me....can you say nice car?

Steve, just a thought, but have you considered just buying an R200 clutch type LSD carrier and just install it in your existing diff?
-
The guys a dreamer......an uninformed dreamer at that. Shoot, I picked up an R200 3.90:1 in excellent condition for $75.00. However, mine didn't have the luxury of the added rust, as does this guy's!
-
They're everywhere!!!
-
Also, If you plan to mount the cooler in the front grille, that means you will have quit a bit of hose running to and from the diff. With this additional volume of oil you may not require such a large cooler. Just a thought!

Scottie, Hawk makes a pad they call the Street Performance Pad, which is touted as having really good initial bite when cold. I've actually used these pads and noticed a significant improvement over a stock pad. Just a thought!

#6 is certainly a product of our latest generation of youth. Everything is like, like, like, like, like, like...............etc! I guess every generation can be identified by some dumb use of the english language.

You gotta wonder what other tasks the ACTROID can do? Could get interesting in the near future! Just might have to inquire about one.....cause you know, my house could sure use a good cleaning.

Personally, I thought the purpose of a tatoo above the bootie was so we would have something to look at while driving the point home!!!

Instant carma!!!

Halloween Z, Put the idea out of your head! The little cruiser bike is designed for a 150cc engine! If you stuff anything into it with more than 15 HP you will certainly overstress everything else. If you go about modifying it to accept bigger HP, you will wind up spending alot of time and money. Just save your cash and when the time comes you can step up to a motorcycle

I was considering "appropriate" gearing as what makes the car accelerate faster.
I would say, based on your statement, that lower gears would be the ticket for you. Example...4.11 gearing will allow a car to accelerate faster than 3.90 gearing given that everything else remains the same. It's the basic laws of physics coming into play.

An X-military buddy of mine told me they call this situation a "Slamfire". He said guys with experience always stand to the side because this situation does occur from time to time. Certainly the breach block hit this guy first as a casing exits just before full recoil travel. Ouch for sure. Doesn't appear to be american troops though.

ASA240Z, first do as auxilary suggests then do what Clifton suggests. When you do replace the studs, go with stainless steel studs and use anti-seize when installing them. ARP can set you up with a set...and their products are as good as they get.

Interesting device however, I don't think it even comes close to the capabilities of a rotisserie when doing a full-on restoration. As mentioned earlier, the device attaches to the suspension and appears to me to be some strange attempt at selling a wiggit with very limited use! People will buy just about anything! Just one man's opinion!

Depends on which engine you are using. N/A might benefit from a 3.90 or 4.11, but a turbo I6 benefits from lower ratios like 3.54 or 3.36.
I don't think it matters if your engine is naturally aspirated or has forced induction, on what gearing is better or not. I think appropriate gearing is a matter of how you intend to drive your car! JMO.

Hey, it's ARRRRRMY training. Safety first, you know! John, where do you find this stuff?

I think that with the right amount of attention, it has some potential.....
Tim, I know you are more than capable of turning any car into something nice...given the right amount of $$$ and time, but why this piece of dodo. There is a saying that goes like this......"Friends don't let friends buy junk".

Looks to me like someones nightmare and a future owners endless money pit. "Front end is like a 67 vette (NOT) and the rear is like a 74 vette (NOT)!!!!" Looks exactly like a hacked up Z car to me. Beyond the sad looking exterior, it appears to be a stock Z. Maybe if the guy reduced his price to $500.00 he might get some takers.
P.S. Tim are you feeling well?
fuel pump?
