  1. You can run those special silencers that have two different outputs one that silence and the other that goes straight pipe(with a hit of a switch). I wanted to run those in my 71 buick skylark but haven't put ithe engine together yet.
  2. Well I am planning on putting 17'' te37's gunmetal in the front and 18'' in the back. I currently have flares and planning on painting the car gun metal so yes its gonna look HOT. I also want to autoX it to see how it does so its both looks and performance. So far this is how it looks hehe
  3. I was thinking of this would it work? buy Cobra 5 lug hubs and brackets from Modern Motorsports Ltd. Then purchase Brembo brake kit upgrade for the 2004 Cobra's, bolt it up together and there you go brembos for my 240z!!   4. I have actually done this swap I had a automatic turbo motor with a ZX n/a 5 speed. I purchased the throwout bearing, collar and clutch fork for a 2+2 from local parts store and a fidanza flywheel 240mm (can be used for either clutch). I initially had the 225mm but slipped bad so I upgraded with the bigger clutch/flywheel. Now I have the stock pressure plate and 6 puck clutch .....still slips if i boost higher than 12psi. I will have to buy a better pressure plate to handle more HP since i will intercool my 240 soon. Remember to take the Spacer in the crankshaft because that tends to cause alot of problems.
  5. I say more than 2 inches not sure... my car is at the body shop right now. I just wraped my downpipe with header blanket that kept it cool. and didnt melt the new ones.
  6. Watch out for ur poly bushings my 3 inch downpipe melted them down..... dang that thing is huge looks very noice.
  7. Have you tried checking the tempareature head sensor ? that happen to me once car acted the same. On the filter side next to the heater core hoses.....
  8. Well I am glad to read up on all this information that you guys gathered. I will think about what to get .....(maybe something better might come out soon) well ill put this section of the car on hold and work on everything else since i have lots more work to do on my project thanks.
  9. I think it should be fine to use the different intake. Alot of people actually change from turbo intake to the NA one because of all those extra smog addon's. The only problem can be that the cylinder head is different but i belive it should work not 100% sure.

  12. What do you guys think about APEXi Twin Chamber BOV? that's what I have on my 240z turbo. I know it sounds really loud and doesn't have that high pitch sound like those HKS BOV's ( dont like that sound ). I know its a little bulky but I am happy with it. Any bad expiriences....

  14. I have a A/F guage it does run rich but after reaching 1500 and more boost It goes leaner. I was boosting 12 lbs without a problem it just doesn't boost as fast as other cars. When I did the swap I checked the shaft end-play and it did have a bit of play. It also leaks a bit into the intake pipes so I think its the turbo. I gotta say though when it hits 12 pounds it pulls be back on my seat. I just think that 3' pipes and a NPR intercooler will make it lag some more and sounds a little overkill. thanks

  16. I just got a NPR intercooler and 3'' piping that I want to install but I currently have Stock turbo that gives me alot of lag. I know that its just not going to work with a NPR and 3'' piping so I am looking for A hybrid T3/T4 with a internal wategate that will work with my set up. The problem is I am not sure what kind of trim to get and where to get it from. Anyone has this kind of set that can help me out. I'am runnig stock Fuel Injection System from 280zx turbo on my 71 240z. thanks

  19. Has anyone tried this, I search for this but couldnt find anything. I hear A friend say that can be acomplished and will make the tranny stronger than regular 280zxt tranny. Any information that I can use please let me know thanks
