^^^ It's an HKS hg...
HKS 91mm x 1mm steel sandwich type head gasket features a raised bead around each combustion chamber to ensure a tight seal. -
Indeed. Page 59-60 of the 280zx Haynes (for future reference). It's a GY colored wire w/ round connector @ the main dash wiring connector block. Disconnect it @ 30k miles (when you supposedly change the O2 sensor).
-
If it's the orange sensor warning light on the top right of the cluster, it's the 30k mile O2 sensor trip. To turn it off you unplug the sensor trip wire under passenger side of dash. There's a blurb about it in the Haynes & FSM.
-
It’s a two toned with racings stripes and with a turbo, the paint and stripes are still flawless.
I don't see racing stripes or a turbo....
I do see that it's a non-turbo and has pin striping...

^^^ Ditto... did you check the oil level?
Also... the oil pressure sender has a tendency to go faulty. Replacing it will likely solve the prob (if the motor does have proper oil levels).
-
Check it himself? That's crazy talk!
-
78 = 280z ... 79 = 280zx .... that means they came from different wiring setups. I don't have the S30 & S130 FSM's right in front of me at the moment... but have you been looking @ the S130 wiring diagrams?
-
What year is your 280z? And which year is that iggy switch from? I ask because you are matching diff color wires (yellow to black yellow, white black to white red, etc).
-
^^^ I image that means he sold it.
-
Does your tach work?
Is there anything on the car that doesn't work?
-
^^^ That's what I was thinking. Black wire, round connector ...
It's the radio interference for the coil / dizzy.

$159 ....
I don't know why the Kameari 1mm is $249. Buy a 2mm for $100 less and split it in half!!!
-
What color is the wire? What kind of plug?
-
Check around... There's probably someone selling one. But you'd be safer buying a new, not used one.
-
Nice! What places did you visit? And we need more pics!!!
-
Re-p-p-p-p-p-ost.... and these come up on ebay once a month I swear.
Anyway,
Keaton... what part of Utah you in?
-
And it will probably need an engine rebuild. After 29 years, all the seals are likely dry as a bone.
Did he prep the engine for storage? Was it on the ground or on blocks? Was it ever driven or started in those 29 years?
-
EDIT.... ^^^ Beat me to it.
Front? As in "air dam"? Have you checked MSA?

Those are just projectors mounted to the back of the headlight housing. I did the same thing several years ago on my Z because I wanted the stand alone GT Class look.
There's several threads here talking about HID's and projectors.

yea the pictures in that one i believe are from an 81 and the 82-83 harness is different.
thanks though
Did you read page 2? Half way down is the 82/83 addendum.

So where is the "check relay" ?

Welcome to HybridZ! This is a forum for Z cars... but I don't think you'll be turned away ( except for bad grammar ). Your motor shake problems don't sound too much like a blown turbocharger, but the smoke may or may not be. A blown turbo will spit out a bit of blue smoke on start up, but really pour out once it tries to wind up, and it won't likely make the motor shake like crazy, just feel weak on the power. I suggest checking other things like sensors for the shake. Also remove the turbo to throttle body pipe to see if there is oil spitting though there. You can also check the spark plugs to see if the engine is burning oil & not the turbo....

I use "Cool Edit Pro" 2 (point) something... I'm sure there's a newer version these days, but it works great to convert to & from any type of audio file & you can edit / mix too.
