might as well run the VQ block. it's already located under the hood and has a cap with labels. even if you're running MS, you still want stuff fused and can fuse it through the same way. AAMOF, that will prevent you from having to run wires ALL the way through.
-
wow, sounds like MUCH more of a task/expense than just getting a rust-free shell and working from that.
-
it should. i personally would go with one of the replacement ones from MSA so that i knew what all the fuses were to
-
i think that the thicker head gasket comes into play if the block is milled MORE than the .25mm (i'm assuming that milling the block is necessary)
-
Just mount the fuse box where I want it and extend the wiring to reach?
that's what i would say. since i relocated my battery to the rear, i have a terminal block mounted to the firewall where that battery once resided. i checked out a 510 for the wife and noticed that the fusebox was right in that same area! seems like a good place to put a modern-style blade fusebox....
-
wow, that's looking REALLY nice
-
damn, all that for a $20 book you can get at target right now..... lol
-
wow, nice read! must've been a great experience!
btw, we're gonna have to chat about 510s some time..... the wife wants a new car...

yes you need it. it keeps the windshield from popping out of the weatherstrip.
you could paint it tho...
ditto

a note on the AREs i mentioned: i found the classic slot mag-style at pepboys for $500 for all 4 15x10s!
-
i would think it would be too tall

find some ARE (american racing) wheels. some good ones from them.

i was thinking maybe in one side and out the other...?

^if it's from zed findings, it's going to be a quality part. IIRC almost every company that sells floorpan replacements gets them from ZF.

GET A STICK. otherwise it will eventually feel like a slug

haha, i was just saying that FTW means for the win, and i quoted carfan's answer as the truth..... somewhat of a stretch, but i'm known for that
anyway, hidplanet is a GREAT resource

looks like there are speedo gears (thought so). it more than likely needs to be replaced. i'd fix that kink, too.
here's a link to speedo gear ratios/PNs: http://www.v8volvo.se/mekartips/artiklar/speedo-gear.html
