  1. ya i sure that the junk yard would have them . but i would rather get new fittings and hoses. but thinks for the insight
  2. you have a NA block but i think everything else is the same from the 2jz-gte (supra) motor . its just that block is a little weaker like i said before i think, can anyone second my statement.

  6. looked at the albu, is it the line running from the water pump? also whats the best wat to check for leaks in heater core
  7. what is needed to make the heater work in a 74 260z with a v8. can i still you the lines, heater cores, blower motor, amd if so where do the line hookm up to the block. becuase to my understanding the heater system runs tho the motor some how. and that as for as my knowlegde goes on this matter. please help texas can get cold too

  10. did u get them from MSa i got mine from there and had the some problem. i used sheet metal screws to set them inplace and that help a little.but had to cut mine a little bit when i molded them to have them sit how i wanted them.
  11. i was reading Blueoval Z write up on his taillight panel and i was goin to us that some method to cover my sheet metal dash with fibergass. when appling that large of FG sheets do u you brush the resin onto the FG or do you dip it some how. ive worked smaller amount of FG in the past and then i just dipped the FG into the resin. didnt know if it was the same with larger sheets

  13. im in the same boat as you and im planning to have mine done in the same time frame as you are also. the only bottle neck that ive run into is buying parts and doing research at the same time. i dont see why you coundnt do in that time frame if you have all you parts ready to go and have a few friends to lend you a hand. and if you dont change your plans half way throught. ive seen swaps take a soon as a month or 2 and as long as a year if not more. just stick to it and you'll be done in no time keep us posted on you progrss and take lots of pictures
  14. Don`t know which model you are referencing, but you can see some pics and a small write up of my cowl panel mod on my site / Zcar page. the model is a 74 260 . read the write up that was the some thing i was planning also infromative thanks
  15. i was plaing on wled the slots closed on my windshild valence.(where the windsheild fluid shots from) is there any problem with closing them up. as far a air cerculation or anything like that. thought it would look smooth.
  16. ya i havent seen to many myself. i thought that was b/c they weren't go or something. i dont know what brand the on i have is i got it from the person that gave me the car.but from the feed back that im getting so far im goin to go ahead and us it. im trying to have the car on the road by new years. ill keep you guys posted. so add me to the other million v8 datsuns out there
  17. first off welcome, you found the right place for all you z questions. but i must also say before you post a question search or else you will be burned at the steak. jk . but searching should be able to anwser most of you questions hopw you like to body work or knows someone that does.. hows the rust on the car any really bad places? keep us updates on your progess and take lots of pictures
  18. where would i have a problem in my oiling system. so i can look out for it if something was to go wrong.also i it true that the relocator has to me mount lower than the stock filter location on the block? to make to flowing of the oil smoother.
  19. i search around didnt find an exact answer to my question. i was given a dual filter oil relocater to be used on a 350ci sbc. my question is that is the dual filter just to much? will it make oil pressure drop to much and put more wear on the motor. also it was goin to be mounted on the driver side frame rail between motor and radiator. to give you an idea of how long te hoses where goin to be. there will be 2 an lines running from block to filter.

  21. i talk to the folks at por-15 and the said to use the marine clean to degresse the metal and the metal ready tp prep the metal for paint. anyone know of a product that i can buy locally that is similler to the metal ready or any kind of metal etching product?

  23. do you mean you use an etching primmer or just rough the metal up with a grinder so the por-15 can stick. im in the same process that DaleMX is in and i have already order my por-15, want to know it is going to stick to my metal. after all the time i spent sanding down old paint
