I FEEL THE FLAMES COMING MY WAY... I did a search right after and saw that there was a few threads with similar questions but if you'd like to chime in, please feel free to do so. Thanks..

    T-5 in n/a

Does anyone know if a t-5 can be put on an n/a l28. Would I have any problems with the flywheel/clutch assembly splines? The reason I ask is because I'm getting ready to swap it out with a turbo l28 so I'm trying to test everything out before hand with the n/a. Helps weed out any problems with the driveline because I'm also swapping out the diff for an LSD. Thanks..
  3. Does anyone know if I can install a walbro 255 fuel pump on a stock rail/ injectors on an '83 non-turbo?? The reason I ask is because I'm getting ready to swap out my n/a for an l28 turbo and I'm trying get things in 100% working order before the actual swap. It's one less thing to look into if something goes wrong. Thanks..
  4. Do they come and pick it up directly at your house? (ups)
  5. Have any of you ever shipped a tranny?? Is it worth it??I have 2 non turbo and one T5 turbo tranny sitting here at home that I have for sale but there 's no demand here in miami. I've had a few people want to buy them but I have no idea of how to ship them. Please help..Thanks.
  6. I have a vortex "TREX'' fuel pump that came on a parts car that I bought. Question is, Would it flow enough?? here's the link: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=VOR%2D8F002%2D265&N=700+400107+303983+115&autoview=sku I'm going to run 680cc injectors with a gt35r/ E11 haltech on an L28et. I want to make around the 400hp mark. Let me know what you guys think... Thanks..
  7. I'm changing my route for now and I'm selling all of my RB25 stuff. It's taken me a year to gather all of these goodies but I've come to realize that I still need more $$ to finish and I really cant spend that on "my toys". If you guys have any questions or need pics, pm me. Thanks.... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=130444
  8. Hey Clifton, would you happen to have any pics of your set up on the l28?
  9. I know this is an old thread but I'm curious if any one is running or has run a gt30 in an l28. I'm trying to decide on a turbo for my "mean time" project and I think that a gt30 sounds pretty good. I have a brand new gt35 that I was going to run in my rb25 sitting at home but I think it's a tad too big for what I'm looking for. I had a t3/t4 stage2 on my old l28 few years ago and that thing was all over the place. It put down about 320 to the rear at 18lbs. with all bolt ons. I'd like to have a similar set up, but with more power. I just bought an '83 turbo from an old friend of mine with a t04e and some other goodies for a really good price, but from what I can remember it was really laggy. So, I thought that I can get rid of the '80s technology and move to something more advanced (gt series or similar). Let me know what you guys think... Thanks....

    R32 or R33

The motor does look pretty clean. He told me that I can bring a comp. guage and we can check it out. As far as the leakdown goes I've never done one before. Any Ideas???
  11. He told me they're both identical. He cut the flange, and polished one but never got a chance to do the other. He said that he cut the flange because he wanted to run custom intercooler piping. Supposedly, they should bolt right up. Do you think they'll have more lag than the gt2860r-5's?? A pair run about $1600 plus or minus correct??
  12. Has anyone else had any experience with a similar set up? Are they to big and laggy for the 450 range??
  13. I went to see this motor yesterday and the owner was telling me that its an r33. I'm thinking 32 because of the yellow air temp sensor and the power steering pump has 3 outlets.. I'm not sure so I need some of you guys that know to help me out. Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-NISSAN-SKYLINE-GT-R-RB26DETT-240SX-SWAP-RB25-Trans_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33615QQihZ008QQitemZ180208038319QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
  14. I have this guy who's selling me a pair garrett turbos for about $1200. My question to you guys is do I really need them??? They're T28s. They have super 60 trim compressor wheels with t28-79 trim turbine wheels and standard bearings. They're fresh out of the oven so it sound like a good deal. I want to make about 450 to the wheels but streetable. This is not going to be a track car, just a weekender. He's telling me there good for up to about 700hp.... What do you guys think.................
  15. Thanks for the info on the intake Evan. As far as power, I'd say around 450. I'm running a lot of the usual stuff: gt35r, deatchwerks 650cc injectors w/custom fuel rail, haltech e11v2, arh head studs, cometic head gasket, greddy intake, stock internals, blah, blah. I don't have the $$ to spend on a custom header. This keeping it simple project is going "WAY" over what I expected. I was even debating on selling everything and going for a stock rb26, but you know how that goes. I'll be right back on the same boat Problem is, I try to do things the right way whenever possible and funds providing. By that I mean I try to stay away from shortcuts or the "just for now" theory. Thats why I try to get as much info from here as possible. It's been a life saver for me.
  16. Any of you guys had any experience with the manifold on a n rb25det? I've read that a few of you have had issues with the steering shaft hitting the turbo in the Z's. I'm putting it in an '83 zx so hopefully It'll clear it. Last night I was mocking up the motor on the engine stand and I noticed when I tried bolting up the exh. manifold the studs were too long for the bottom section of the runners..... Do I need to remove the studs and replace them with bolts?? Those things are a pain in the a$$ to get to, and thats on an engine stand..I can't imagine having to remove or install that manifold while the engine is in the car. So far everything that has to do with manifold has been going against my keeping it simple theory 1) I still don't know if it is going to fit in the car once i get it bolted on. 2) I have to weld a t3 flange for my gt35r. The manifold is t4 flanged. Thats what happens when you get exited, you think your getting a good deal and tend to put little thing aside. 3) I found a hairline crack on the bottom o one of the runners after having it for about 6 months. 4) It's a lot heavier than I thought. Do guys think it's worth it??? I still have my stock manifold, which I really don't want to use. There's something about the turbo/ manifold that just doesn't look right and I'd like to get as much as I can out of my turbo. I'm stuck, Any ideas????????
  17. I totally agree. It's not worth saving a few $$$ and risking something a lot more expensive in the long run. Thanks for all the good info guys. I'm actually in the process of getting a used greddy mani.
  18. Question for the experts.... Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a real greddy intake and a fake(for an rb25det)? To me, they seem to be the same if the greddy intake doesnt have the sticker on it. I've never seen one in person so I'd like to make sure that I don't get ripped off. Is there any distinctive markings or shapes? I had a website that had them up for about $620 but I can't seem to find it now. If any Knows of any place that has them for a decent price, please let me know.. Thanks....
  19. The body had some rust and the engine hadnt been started in a few years.
  20. There was one up on ebay about a week ago that never sold right out of Pensacola, Florida. The car had a some work done to it ('79 zx turbo from Japan ) and supposedly had 30k miles on it. He said he was the second owner. If you are interested, I still have the guys email add. from some questions I had asked him I thought of doing the conversion, but only to have something different. When I actually sat there and looked at all the work, it just wasn't worth it. The fire wall area on the engine bay is completely different on the left side than on the right. It's not just moving things around and changing the dash out, There is no pre made markings or pre made holes on the right side. It's probably easier to find one already rhd and just build that than actually doing the conversion. 21. I was wondering if you still had the 3" side moldings that run along the doors and fenders on the outside of the car. I'm interested in both sides. They run along the bottom section. Also need the headlight washer button on the left side of the steering column. If you still have them, How much??? Thanks..
  22. Jesus Barnaby Jones!!!!!. I've seen alot Z's, and I must say..... F*^kin A! Nice work man! That is some scary looking sh*t!!! Seeing cars like yours make me want to switch over to an l28
